To Hell and Back

Hell hath no fury like a Gideon scorned.

Gideon Goode is clever as the devil and twice as pretty. He even has the t-shirt to prove it. When the coven takes down a den of demons, it’s him they turn to in order to clean up the mess. While they search for a permanent solution, Gideon uses his power over memory to trap the beasts, caging them within the very humans they possessed.

But the search for the right spell eludes the coven, much to Gideon’s chagrin. The continuous enchantments siphon off his magic, causing him to grow weaker as time passes. Sexual healing helps, but he’s mateless and there’s only so much random d*ck he can take before that gets old. Not that he’d admit that to anyone. He has a rep to maintain.

The instant someone starts killing off his prisoners, Gideon senses it. The coven goes on high alert to search for who’s targeting their otherwordly captives, but not before Lucifer gets involved—and—Gideon’s mates show up in town.

What’s a boy to do but to go to Hell and back to protect what’s his?

Now Available - A MONSTER FOR TWO BEARS (Bear Mountain, Book 21) by Kelex

Bear Mountain and Project Zed collide in the newest Bear Mountain title! A Monster for Two Bears picks up after the Project Zed series has been over for many months.

Sent away for their own safety, Kai and Lane have lived away from Bear Mountain for nearly a decade. Calls from home finally bring them back for an extended visit. Lane’s papa is ill… and Kai needs to confront the demons of his past—namely the death of his father, Gregor, and his brother’s part in it.

Declan is happy his younger brothers have finally come home and now is his chance to convince them to stay. Only it’s more difficult than he expected it to be. His brothers are happy with the new lives they’ve built for themselves and they don’t want to return to the valley.

Only Kai and Lane come face to face with a true reason to stay, a broken, battered male—one of the freed Zed victims who’s struggling to find his way in a new world.

Turi’s struggle for mental health makes him skittish at best. The instinct to surrender is at war with his own inner demons. He pushes Kai and Lane away, refusing to accept himself as worthy of love.

Will he push them all the way out of Bear Mountain—or can they help him find the peace he needs to heal before it’s too late?

Kai drove in through the center of the city, craning to get a good look at everything. Finally, he stopped the car in front of one of the taller buildings—a hotel—and got out to look around. He moved to the sidewalk and took a few steps down so he could see better. There was a new city hall across a large open green space. A museum. A hospital. Restaurants. A movie theater. A scattering of new shops.
A whole new world.
And then it hit him.
It was laid out very much like the old village square—just on a grander scale.
Lane exited the SUV and walked his way. “I know Father said they’d built a lot. Still, it’s a lot more than I anticipated.”
“Doesn’t quite look like home anymore,” Kai said, his voice low.
Lane turned to look at him. “Things change. You know that.” He cast another look around the new city center. “We can come back and look around some more later,” Lane said. “I really want to see my papa.”
“Of course,” Kai said, shaking his head. “Sorry. I was just so shocked. I didn’t want to run into something.”
Shocked was an understatement.
Kai followed Lane back to the SUV. Just as they approached, a door to the hotel opened and an unkempt man came barreling out and ran smack into Lane, nearly knocking them both over.
Reaching out, Kai grabbed Lane’s arm.
Only he missed and grabbed the man’s.
Heat washed through his body, and a moan nearly bubbled from his lips. A scent filled his lungs and made his bear roar in his ears.
Mine!
Kai’s eyes widened at the word whispered through his mind.
He tugged on that arm, forcing the man to spin. Kai took a good look at him.
A shifter…
Kai’s stare searched over the overgrown beard and long hair, trying to get some idea what the man looked like underneath it all. When he landed on two bright, shining blue eyes peeking out amid the light brown hair with golden highlights, he saw the guy looked as if he felt as stunned as Kai did. Drawing in a scent, he wasn’t quite sure what kind of shifter he was looking at. There was lion… or was it bear? Or was it wolf?
Omega.
“Sorry,” the man said, backing away and looking scared. “I… I gotta go…”
“Wait,” Lane said, taking a step forward.
The man ignored them and raced away, but his scent remained. It washed over Kai again as the breeze sent more of it to his nose, mixed with the scent of autumn leaves.
Bear doesn’t lie with bear… bear lies with human.
Of course, he wasn’t sure if the man was bear or not. His scent had been so confusing, but bear… shifter. It was all interchangeable. There had been reasons why humans were needed into the mix. Shifter blood was too volatile.
Too much of it and their kind went feral.
Looks like he might already be a bit feral.
Of course, the old law had been changed, but it was still hardwired into who he was. This wasn’t the kind of mate he’d anticipated—some bedraggled guy who looked homeless.
Was he?
Was this man living off the streets of Bear Mountain, needing help?
His bear roared even louder, demanding he do something.
“We should go after him,” Lane murmured, looking off-balance.
“Your papa,” Kai spat, against his bear’s wishes. The need to follow the man clawed at his gut. But he fought it, forcing himself to hold back. “You wanted to see your papa. We should go.”
Lane frowned, the desire to see his papa at war with the innate animal craving coursing through both their veins.
Kai had always heard the need was strong, but there was no way he could’ve understood that strength. Not until now.
His bear wreaked havoc within his body and mind.
“Yeah. Papa,” Lane whispered before walking to the SUV’s passenger door.
Kai watched as Lane slid in. Before he went to the driver’s side, he caught a glimpse of the man in the distance, walking down the sidewalk. He took a left and disappeared—which only made his bear roar within.
Not a shifter. Anything but a shifter.

NEW RELEASE: Bitten by Midnight (Midnight Mississippi, Book 4) is here!

The neverending book is FINALLY here! The planned 35,000K story grew to over 66,000 ~ And release had to be pushed back not once, but twice...

Bitten by Midnight
Midnight Mississippi, 4

Kane doesn’t much like the idea of becoming a member of the King’s Guard through default. He’s much more interested in remaining on the taskforce he’s already on—an elite group of Midnight police who hunt the things that nearly killed him twenty years before.

The things that did kill his entire family. And left him as a Halfling vampire.

He’s vowed to destroy every vampire in Midnight, eager for vengeance.

During one of the taskforce's raids—the one that garnered him his berth as a guardsman—he comes across a man bitten all to hell by the vamps. Kane instantly recognized him as a mate. The king’s uncle, Ralnur, is close to death when Kane carries him from the nest, terrifying an already shaken Halfling.

Seeing a mate as a weakness, Kane refuses to make the claim—but he will save the man’s life the only way he knows how. By making Ralnur the very thing he hunts.

As he runs from the attraction he feels, fate steps in and hurtles him into a meeting with his second mate. He’s assigned to protect the researcher tasked with finding out who turned the king’s uncle into a vampire.Kane refuses to endanger Ralnur and Caelian by bringing them into his life and the battle he wages against the undead.

No matter how much the instinct demands he mark them with his bite.

Caelian sat across from him. “I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.”
Kane smiled.
“Both my parents were mixed race. My mother was Nymph, Human, and Fae. My father was Elvish, Human, and Witch. I’m basically a mutt, but mostly Human. Impure blooded and not accepted by any of them.”
Kane winced. He understood being ostracized. Many residents of Midnight didn’t care for vamps. And the combos explained a lot. Caelian was much too tall to be all Elf and too good looking not to have a little Fae blood. Witch made sense with those wards. The nymph part was interesting. Could be why the guy was showing off his body and throwing come hither looks over the table as he made his plate.
Come hither looks were going to become harder and harder to ignore as the night progressed.
“So, how do you do it?”
“Do what?” Kane asked as he made his plate.
“Not drink blood.”
Kane sensed the amulet sitting on his chest. “Ancient secret.”
“Oh come on!” Caelian lowered his plate to the table. “I said I’d share if you did.”
“I didn’t agree to those terms,” Kane said before lifting a bit of the stew to his lips. “Oh, damn. That isgood.”
Caelian watched him for a moment. “I didn’t know Halflings ate real food.”
“We don’t eat. Much.” Kane eyed him. “Just enough to get by.”
Caelian didn’t respond. Nor did he say much as they ate. Kane packed it in, his hunger monumental. He could feel the elfling’s stare on him as he ate. Once they were done and had cleaned up the mess, Kane noted it was nearly eleven.
“What time do you usually get up and head over to the archive?” Kane asked.
“About seven,” Caelian said. “The walk’s not far from here.”
“I suppose you should get some rest then,” Kane said, looking around. “I can head outside and guard the door while you sleep.”
He rose from the table and headed toward the door.
“Don’t go,” Caelian said, rising.
As Kane turned around, he watched the towel drift to the floor. His stare moved down, and he got the first look at his elf.
Allof his elf.
Caelian was… gorgeous. And Kane wanted to lick every square inch of the man. More than once. Caelian’s hard cock jutted before him, leaking a tiny bit of jizz.
“Stay,” Caelian murmured. “I’d rather notbe alone.”
Kane felt his cock screaming its approval of that idea. He took a step closer, need propelling him forward.
Mine.
Kane lifted his stare away. I can’t touch him.
I’m here to guard him. Protect him. I can’t do that in his bed.
He dragged his gaze away, willing himself enough strength to say no. “I’ll be just outside.”
Kane could see the disappointment in Caelian’s golden gaze.
Don’t worry, Caelian. I’m just as disappointed.
He moved outside the doors, the soft click of the knob a welcome sound. His body raged under that golden armor of his, his heart slamming against his ribcage.
A heartbeat.
Hunger.
Lust.
What the hell is happening to me?

Don't forget Bitten by Midnight is technically the FIFTH book in the Midnight series... Theirs by Midnight 3.5 continues Adriel, Eilam, and Noah's story after Dead by Midnight

New Release: Sacrificed to the Mountain Gods (Sacrificed, 5)

I've had so much fun with these Sacrificed books, so I was excited to return to them with a brand new story!

Always the outcast, Halfling Itari is the easy choice to sacrifice when the nearby mountain begins belching smoke and the earth trembles. He’s never fit in with his mother’s clan, his half human side making him the subject of ridicule. When he escapes, he flees into the forest—but another massive tremor causes him to fall and bump his head.

When Itari awakens, he’s in the company of two huge men. Sure they must be giant-human Halflings themselves, he feels a kindred spirit amongst them. Being part of two worlds isn’t easy; he knows that better than most. The men are roughhewn and beastly, yet he feels a savage pull—and a desire he can’t understand unlocks within.

They spend a night together showing Itari delights he never knew, and when it’s over, the two demand he yield to him. Forever. But with the mountain threatening them all, Itari knows that their time can only be brief. Thoughts of his family drag him from their arms. He knows he can save them—and must. Returning home, he holds his mother and brother tight…

And by the first light he surrenders to the gods.

Sacrificed books do NOT have to be read in order. They are similar stand alone stories built in similar worlds.

When Itari opened his eyes once more, he saw a raging fire not far away. Without moving his head, he checked to see where those who had started that fire might be. The longer his jailers thought him asleep, the better.
But instead of seeing Tertullis and Tartenillus, he saw two strangers tending the fire.
Two hugestrangers.
He searched them over. Both were dark haired and muscled like warriors. Humans? No, he didn’t think so. While he hadn’t seen all that many humans in his lifetime, he was fairly sure these two were too big. Giants?
No… too small.
Halflings like him, perhaps? He’d heard tales of others like him, and Itari wouldn’t be surprised to learn these men were human-giant Halflings.
A scent wafted his way…
His stomach clenched in hunger as he eyed the meat cooking on a spit near the flames between the men.
“Dinner will be done soon,” one of the giant-men said to the other.
But when he turned to pin Itari with a gaze, perhaps the man hadn’t been talking to his friend at all.
My gods his eyes are beautiful. They were the same blue of the pools up on the mountain. He’d only been once, to the huge waterfalls that lined the elves’ sacred halls, but they’d left an indelible memory burned into his brain.
The rest of the giant-man was coarse in appearance. His thick, grizzled beard and long, tousled hair gave him an almost beastly appearance. The man turned back to the fire. “You don’t have to feign sleep, little Halfling. I know you’re awake.”
Itari slowly sat up. He gazed at the other man a moment. They were two peas in a podlet. The other man was just as roughhewn looking, the only difference was his eyes were as green as the leaves of the pegastree, but no less brilliant. And on second look, the man’s hair was perhaps a russet color. It was hard to tell, as he wasn’t as close to the light of the flames.
“Who are you? How did I get here?”
“Ruam,” the blue-eyed man said. He pointed to his friend. “Torsten.”
“And my second question?”
Ruam eyed him over one shoulder before glancing back to the flames. “We found you battered and broken under the trees. We mended you and brought you with us while you healed.”
Itari reached up and felt his head. There was no wound. “How… how long have I been out?”
“A few hours,” Torsten answered. He handed over a pouch that Itari guessed might be water.
Itari looked up into that green-eyed stare once more, feeling almost lost in it.
“You mustdrink,” Torsten murmured.
After staring too long, Itari finally took the pouch. His fingers rubbed along Torsten’s roughened ones and their gazes met again… just before a shiver raced down his spine. The thought of those hands all over his body flashed into his mind, and his temperature rose a bit. Torsten was thickly muscled, his arms on full display thanks to the dark leather vest he wore. More of the russet hair dusted his forearms, and Itari wondered if it swept over the giant-man’s chest.
And then downward.
Itari licked his lips, his mind wandering to wicked things. He dragged his gaze away from the bulge in the man’s leather pants. Torsten looked strong. He looked dangerous. The thick metal cuffs along his wrists, heavy furred boots, and dark soot under his eyes only added to the mystique. Ruam was dressed much like Torsten.
They looked ominous… dangerous…
Yet he felt a dark pull to them both… a desire to be wrapped in their arms.
A desire for them to claim him.
Who are they?
And why did he feel such an attraction to two big, burly beasts?
He thought he saw a sliver of a smile cross Torsten’s lips, but that hint was gone as fast as lightning. Itari dragged his stare away and opened the cap. He took a drink and moaned—his eyes falling closed. The water was as cold and crisp as the crystal pools on the mountain. When he reopened his eyes, he saw Torsten staring at him. He tilted his gaze, and he saw Ruam was, as well. Their hungry gazes were bright with the light of the flames.

Chapter One

Before the Epilogue

Carson Davies’ fingers flew over the keyboard as he tried to wrap up work for the day. Intent on the screen, he let out a scream as he felt a pair of hands grab him from behind. Flipping his head to the side, he saw a smiling Royce behind him and breathed out a relieved sigh.

“Jumpy much?”

“You’re going to give me a heart attack if you sneak up on me like that,” Carson said.

“I can give you mouth to mouth, if you need it,” Royce added with a grin.

“Oh yeah?” Carson asked, his heart still thundering in his chest.

As Royce wrapped his big, strong arms about Carson and lowered his head, that thundering shifted from fear to anticipation. The scent of his big bear shifter filled his nose—the musky scent of man and that woodsy aroma of bear—and it got his blood pressure rising.

When Royce’s lips hit his, the shifter feasted on him. A hunger Carson hadn’t felt just moments before raced through his veins—but that wasn’t news. They barely had to touch him to get his heart pounding and need making it impossible to think straight. Royce drew away after a moment, leaving him wanting more.

“I brought dinner,” Royce murmured huskily. “You should come eat. Jared’s getting the table set.”

Carson glanced at the time at the corner of his screen. “You two are home early.”

“We’re celebrating,” Royce announced.

One of Carson’s brows rose. “And just what are we celebrating?”

“You arrived at the inn exactly three months ago.”

Carson chuckled. “Really? We’re doing quarterly anniversaries?”

Royce smiled. “Well, to be honest, I was planning on grabbing dinner from the restaurant on my way home anyway. We’ve all been busy.”

“So why did we need a reason for take out tonight versus every other night we’ve done it?” Carson asked with a grin. He knew the three-month thing was a bit cheesy, but there was something inherently adorable that Royce had remembered and wanted the mark the date.

“I ran across an invoice that somehow got missed in my data entry—and in doing my research, I stumbled across your check-in date. I figured fate was trying to tell me to appreciate the blessings I have and come home early to my mate and brother bear to celebrate.”

“Your bear godssent you a message, hmm?”

Something like that,” Royce murmured before swooping in for another kiss.

Carson moaned against the bear’s lips, hungry for more than a few enticing kisses. And it definitely wasn’t for food. He turned back to his computer, even as his body screamed in protest. “Let me wrap up a couple of emails and I’ll be out for dinner shortly.”

Royce nuzzled against his ear as Carson forced his fingers moved back to the keyboard, making it hard to focus on work.

The bear’s tongue laid a hot trail down his neck, making Carson’s head fall back some. He bit back a moan, the need for Royce growing with every second. Royce let out a low growl, the rippling sound washing over Carson and making his body ache.

His fingers typed along, the speed varying as he paid more attention to the hot kisses on his neck and ear—but after he had to fix a typo three times before truly correcting it, he knew he had to put his foot down.

“The longer you do that, the longer it’ll take me to finish.”

Royce chuckled, sending warm breath over his ear. Carson sighed inwardly, half of him wanting to say forget it and let Royce tempt him away from his desk. But he had a potential new client and needed to wrap up at leastthat one email. He had a big Skype meeting coming up and needed to share some information with the client beforehand.

“Okay, okay.”

The big bear shifter exited the office, Carson’s stare on his perfect, firm ass the entire time. He let out a sigh once his mate was gone and quickly finished off the email he’d been typing—as well as answered a couple more brief ones. Once he was done for the day, he climbed from his seat and wandered out to the living room.

His other mate, Jared, was putting the final touches on the dining room table. Crystal. Candles. The whole shebang. A smile forced its way on his face.

Carson stopped next to Jared, letting out a low whistle. “Going all out, hmm?”

Jared rose to his full height from where he’d been bent over the dining table, a broad grin on his face. He cocked his head to the side. “You’re not worth going all out?”

Carson could only smile harder, no matter how much he tried to hide it. The last couple of weeks, his bears had gone out of their way to be…

He paused, trying to consider the wording. Romantic?

What had started as a lust-filled pairing was evolving into something much more—something he was ill-equipped to handle. Lust, he knew. Love, he had less experience with.

Love.

Was that what this thing between them was becoming?

Carson had quickly accepted the almost instantaneous animal bond he had with the pair. Chemistry had drawn them together and he’d gone willingly, the carnality leading him down their dark road. But if the lust ever faded…

What did they have left?

A tiny bit of panic hit him square in the chest.

Carson was a relationship failure. He’d had a string of bad luck over the years and didn’t know if he knew how to be a good boyfriend.

Husband?

Whatever the hell a mate was equivalent to in their world. He was almost afraid to ask; fearful he wouldn’t measure up to their expectations.

Jared frowned, concern on his face. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” Carson said, emotion twisting in his chest. He looked up into those glowing eyes of Jared’s knowing how much they cared.

Knowing how much he cared for them.

And how scared he was it would all go to hell eventually.

Jared reached out and brushed a few strands from Carson’s face before lowering his head to steal a kiss. It was softer than the claiming kiss that he’d just shared with Royce, but no less demanding in its own right.

Carson lost himself in that kiss, trying to quell the worry building within. For now, all was well.

When Jared pulled away, Carson looked up into his mate’s glowing eyes. Bear shifter eyes glowed when they felt strong emotions. Sometimes he thanked the heavens his didn’t do the same. Like now. He felt vulnerable enough without them knowing what was churning inside his mind.

And in his heart.

Jared stared down at him, an odd expression on his face. “You can talk to us, you know? If something is bothering you—you don’t have to face it alone.”

Carson patted Jared on the arm, shoving the worry away. “I know. I’m good. Real good.” Why he was tempting something bad, he wasn’t sure. Just thinking something like that was opening the door for failure.

This won’t fail.

His smiled faded some, the worry creeping back in.

Pre-order: Theirs by Bond (Bear Mountain, 1.5)

(Pre-order links at bottom of page)

Starting back in March, I started re-reading the Bear Mountain books one by one, one per week. As I shared in the "Hating on Tyler McCreary" post, I've been meeting with readers on Tuesday nights in my Facebook group to share insights, trash talk mistakes, answer questions, and basically just have a fun hour of talking shit...

We just finished reading book 15 this past Tuesday... so we're already past the 3/4 mark. (We've decided to do Project Zed books, too, as we've had so much fun. We might do other books after that.)

Along the way, I've noted any typos and have been slowly working to clean up and fix them before re-releasing.

I've also had moments where I could kick myself in the ass... "why didn't I..." do this or that. Or characters have whispered in my ear as I re-read, telling me a little more about themselves, more than they told me the first time around.

Honestly, I've also had a few awesome, out of left field questions from points of view that aren't mine. My readers are amazing and point out things I couldn't see from my own point of view.

A couple of ladies in particular ask me tough questions and keep me on my toes! They know who they are.

So I had all these new scenes and ideas swirling in my mind as I re-read...

And then I realized... I can do something about this.

I can write them.

Bound by Two Bears wasn't supposed to be a 20+ book series with two spin-offs. I had been working on a book that just wasn't coming together. I was frustrated. I decided to take a break from that story and write something else. Just as I was toying with the idea of writing some bear shifters, a reader asked me why I hadn't wrote any menage stories in a while—she wanted some moresomes, dammit!

BOOM. Bound to Two Bears came into my mind.

It was supposed to be a quick, insta-love story—heavy on the sex. I wanted something fun and fluffy to get my mind off of the book that was driving me nuts.

And then Bear Mountain became what it did, and I've regretted not giving that story a bit more world building. It also makes me sad many people didn't like Royce...

I have the power to fix that. It just took me a while to realize I had that power.

So Theirs by Bond was born.

In the epilogue to Bound to Two Bears, we see Carson big and preggers, nearly ready to pop.

What happened between the end of the last chapter and the epilogue?

Theirs by Bond will give you a little insight into this time period... when things were still new and Carson, Jared, and Royce were still figuring things out and getting comfortable.

And a little uncomfortable... as they were trying to turn that lust into love.
