Sunday Spotlight - Stephani Hecht and Baily's Ninth Life (The Lost Shifters, Book 33)

Welcome Stephani Hecht back to Sunday Spotlight! She's here sharing her soon to release book, Baily's Ninth Life (The Lost Shifters, Book 33)

* * * *

Baily learned to distrust other shifters through their treatment of him. As a housecat shifter, he’s not exactly the strongest shifter. To compensate, he’s become one of best soldiers for the Coalition. He’s made a place for himself with friends but he doesn’t truly believe they won’t turn on him.

Caden learned to distrust other shifters from birth. His grandfather taught him and his brother to avoid all Packs, Clowders, and Coalitions no matter what. All those lessons will be challenged when a stray cat claims a spot in his bar and maybe his heart. Together,

Baily and Caden, must re-learn the lessons of their lives. That not all shifters are against them. A trip with the leadership of the Coalition to a secret cabin might be the turning point. That maybe they can believe in other shifters, each other and love.

Excerpt:

Baily fumed as he let the lesser hottie treat his wounds. Meanwhile, he glowered at hottie number one as he thought about all the mean things he wanted to say to him once he got his damn collar off. And there was plenty Baily had to say.

First off, it didn’t matter that he was a Cat shifter. He could kick ass with the best of them, thank you very much. Sure he may not be able to shift and rip the throats of their enemies out, but he was one of the best sharpshooters in the Coalition. Something that had taken hours of practice to earn.

Secondly, he was not mangy. Okay, maybe he did look a bit on the rough side, but he’d been through some pretty tough shit. First, that stupid Frog captured him, then it hadn’t been easy going since he’d escaped. For some insane reason, it seemed as if every shifter in the city was hunting him down.

All of that had reduced Baily to hiding in the shadows, dumpsters and dark corners as he tried to make his way back to the Coalition. Then he’d happened upon the bar. When he’d caught a whiff of feline rolling off the bartender taking out the trash, Baily had dashed inside. He’d hoped the guy would be able to get in touch with Mitchell. Baily had heard rumors of two feline shifters who owned a bar in the city.

Instead, the bartender ended up not knowing Mitchell at all. Which made perfect fucking sense, since the only luck Baily had been having lately had been the shitty kind. That’s when he remembered that the rest of the rumors about how the bar owners were skittish around other shifters and didn’t interact with them at all. So, they probably hadn’t ever met Mitchell at all.

“Caden, are you sure you don’t want to take him in and get him fixed?” asked the younger brother.

As if! Baily had to pull in the urge to bite the dick’s finger off. He only refrained because Caden was pretty damn hot and he probably wouldn’t like it if Baily maimed his brother. But that didn’t stop Baily from hissing at the jerk.

“I don’t think he likes the idea,” Caden said. “Maybe, you should stop suggesting it, Jozef.”

If Baily could have, he would have given a sly grin. Then Jozef poked at his side and Baily let out a yelp. Damn it, that hurt. He’d gotten it when he’d crawled through a broken window to get away from those weird bird shifters. They’d been the worst when it came to hunting him down. It was almost as if they had some special recipe they were dying to make and the secret ingredient was Baily tail.

To make sure that Jozef got the message loud and clear that there would be no snipping of any body parts, Baily swiped his paw out and hit the male in his thigh. It wasn’t exactly the target Baily was aiming for, but it still got his point across. Jozef let out a yelp as he jumped back, his brown eyes wide in shock.

“What the fuck? Are you sure this thing isn’t a shifter?” Jozef demanded.

“I’m pretty sure, but you’re the one who should know for sure. You almost graduated from college to be a vet, not me,” Caden replied, his voice breathless because he was laughing so hard.

Jozef stooped down so he could look Baily directly in the eyes. Baily tried his best to make his expression as human as possible. If he could get these two lone shifters to believe he really was a shifter then maybe they would contact the Coalition for him. Then they could send for help and he could go home. Although, it would be a damn shame to have to leave Caden behind. Then again, there was nothing that said Baily couldn’t come back to visit the sexy bartender.

“Shift for me,” Jozef commanded.

Baily huffed in irritation. Didn’t they see the damn anti-shifting collar on his neck? Then a horrifying thought occurred to Baily. What if they didn’t know about the collars and the power they had over Baily? Oh, shit. That would not be good for him. Then they would think he was a regular cat for sure and no help would be coming Baily’s way.

It wasn’t as if Baily could just pick up a pen or pencil either. Cats didn’t have any thumbs. Which meant he couldn’t write a letter. He thought frantically for another way to communicate. He recalled reading a book by Dean Koontz where a genius dog communicated with Scrabble tiles, but Baily didn’t see one of those games lying around. So, unless he managed to find a computer and could log on, he was screwed.

“Nope, he’s not a shifter. Just a weird-o,” Jozef proclaimed as he straightened up.

Oh, just you wait until I get this damn collar off. Then we’ll see who the weird-o is, you son-of-a-bitch. I’ll kick your ass from here to Pontiac. Then you’ll be sorry for calling me mangy and threatening to cut my balls off.

Then Caden came over and began to stroke Baily’s head and all his dark thoughts floated away. Normally, he hated it when others petted him that way. It reminded him that he wasn’t a true predator, but a domestic pet. It made him feel weak and a joke. Yet, when Caden did it, Baily wanted to purr and rub himself all over the bartender. He even smelled nice. Like a warm whiskey with some spices mixed in. Which was odd that Baily found so appealing given that shifters didn’t drink that kind of stuff.

“You almost seem disappointed,” Jozef remarked.

“I’m not. Besides, it’s not like I could have done anything even if was a shifter. You know the rules, we don’t make nice with other shifters,” Caden replied, still stroking Baily’s fur.

That was an odd statement. It made Baily wonder what happened in their past that made them so leery of others of their own kind. At first, he’d just assumed they were Lost Shifters, part of the generation of felines who’d been lost over two decades ago during the Great Raven Attack. Now he wasn’t so sure. By the way, they were talking, he had a feeling there was a lot more to their story.

Sunday Spotlight: Stormy Glenn and A Very Hot Mess Christmas

Welcome Stormy Glenn back to Sunday Spotlight! She's here to share a bit from her new release, A Very Hot Mess Christmas!
Note: Many are aware of the brouhaha surrounding Jimmy Thomas and the very tactless, inconsiderate delivery of his recent post. Stormy sent me this cover/info nearly two weeks ago, and her covers have been made months ago. Let's not punish her for his BS, please.
A VERY HOT MESS CHRISTMAS
Hot Mess 8
Lany
It was the Christmas season and I wanted to make it special. We'd been through a lot lately and we needed something to remind us of how wonderful our life was. It really sucked that there were forces working against my happy little holiday. When someone starts stalking me, planning for Christmas pales in comparison to keeping my family safe. But the Christmas season was a time for family and I'd be damned if I let someone mess with mine.

Salvador
Lany was the hot mess in our relationship, so it was surprising when I ended up being the one injured in a stupid accident. Having to rely on Lany and the kids to save me wasn't something I was accustomed to. When forces beyond our control interrupt our holiday plans, being injured hampers my ability to protect my family. But the Christmas season was a time for family and I'd be damned if I let someone mess with mine.

STORY EXCERPT
Lany
"One little, two little, three little munchkins," I sang out as I counted heads. Seven kids in all.
We were good.
"Okay, is everyone ready to go?" I knew I was, simply if it was to get people moving. We'd been getting ready to go for over an hour now. Granted, there were a lot people to get ready—Me, Sal, and our brood of kids. Angelo and his son Cole.
And, strangely enough, Officer Sam Brodsky. I hadn't expected him to want to go with us to find a Christmas tree.
We'd invited my parents along, but my mother had looked at me with such horror, I'd quickly said we'd go shopping at Bloomingdales later in the week instead.
My father had just chuckled and shook his head at me as if asking my mother to drive a couple hours out of the city to go hunt down the perfect Christmas tree was something I should have known my mother would freak over.
The traitor.
"Okay, everyone out to the cars."
"Can I ride with you?"
I glanced down at Cole, who stood next to Mikey. Ercole Delvecchio had grown so much since I first met him when he was a toddler. He was five now, the same age as Mikey, which made sense as they were best buds.
"Ask your dad and make sure it's okay with him."
Cole beamed up at me. "I already did and he said I had to ask you."
"Okay." I smiled. "If you ride with us, Mikey can ride with your dad."
Yes, I was evil.
"Oh." Cole's face fell.
"Or, you could both hurry out to the car before anyone else and make sure you get seats right next to each other."
Cole and Mikey were off like a shot.
Evil, but damn smart too.
That was two down.
Now, I just needed to figure out how to get the rest of them moving along.
I never realized just how much time I took to get ready to go anywhere until we adopted the twins. With babies in the house, there wasn't a lot of time to primp. I'd had to cut back on my daily beauty preparations.
Now, with six kids to get ready to go, I barely had time to pull a brush through my hair. I can't even remember the last time I'd spent more than a few minutes in front of the mirror, let alone went to a salon or spa.
It was a good thing Sal loved me.
"Lincoln, are you sure you don't want to go?"
I still couldn't believe we had Lincoln Thomas staying in our house. Having no idea who the man was, I'd googled him when we arrived home from our recent vacation to the Bahamas. I had been shocked at what I found.
Lincoln Thomas, lead singer for the band Trixx, was known worldwide. He'd won more awards than anyone I knew and was considered one of the top singers in his industry.
Unfortunately, as we had all recently learned, with that fame came a boatload of crap I wouldn't have wished on anyone. Lincoln had been betrayed by his manager then kidnapped and tortured by an insane fan who wanted to keep him all to herself. I had been shot in the ensuing chaos and several of my friends had been injured and kidnapped.
It hadn't been a fun vacation.
The man gave me a small wobbly smile. "No, I'm good. I'm just going to go back to the guesthouse and read a book or something."
"Okay."
What else could I say?
I winced as I watched the man's shoulders hunch as he walked away. Lincoln was damaged on a level I was well acquainted with. I'd been kidnapped, whipped, and tortured just like he had, only, I had Sal to love on me afterwards and chase my demons away. Lincoln had no one, which was why he was staying with us for the time being.
The man needed a place to heal.
"I've packed you enough food to keep the kids happy on the road."
I brightened as I took the small cooler from our new housekeeper and cook. "Thank you, Mrs. Martinez."
We had also brought her and her son back from the Bahamas. I'd taken my father's suggestion and hired the woman to work for us. We now had homemade food anytime we wanted it, day or not.
Her son, Dalton, was learning what it took to care for an estate in the city instead of a villa in the Bahamas, and going to the university the rest of the time.
Mrs. Martinez's eyes twinkled. "There's a cupcake in there for you too, dear."
I beamed. "Thank you, Mrs. Martinez."
For some reason I couldn't fathom, the older woman had taken a liking to me. I wasn't arguing. She made the best cupcakes.
"Have fun our your day out. I will have dinner on the table at seven."
"Yes, ma'am."
I knew not to be late. Mrs. Martinez might cook like a dream and always have something around for us to munch on, but meals were set at very certain times.
After watching Mrs. Martinez walk away, I clapped my hands together and shouted, "The car is leaving in five minutes, with or without you."
I knew that wouldn't phase Emily as she didn't really want to go. She wanted to stay home and chat with her friends.
Not happening.
This was a family outing and we were all going.
"If you stay here, you'll be doing chores until we get back."
I smiled as five kids trudged past me and out the front door.
Worked every time.
"Sal!"
"Coming."
My eyebrows lifted when I realized he was coming out of his office and not down the stairs from the bedroom, which was where he'd been the last time I'd seen him. "Trouble?"
"No, baby. I wanted to make sure Clarke knew I'd be unavailable for the rest of the weekend."
The corners of my mouth lifted. "Really?"
Sal stopped right in front of me. His hand curled around the side of my face. "I promised you an entire weekend to prepare for Christmas, didn't I?"
"Yeah." But I never thought it would actually happen.
"So, now Clarke knows not to call me." Sal's grin made my heart beat a little faster. "Even if the city burns down."
"Can you do that?"
I could hope.

ADULT EXCERPT
"Wake up, caro." I slid my hand over the Lany's svelte chest. I tweaked a nipple with my fingers. The hot little mess arched further as he spread his legs. "Lany."
I grinned as I tweaked the other nipple and kissed along the man's jaw. Spanning my hand over Lany's stomach, I scraped my nails along his silky skin.
Lany whispered my name.
"You are so beautiful, Lany." He took my breath away every time I looked at him, and that hadn't changed in all the years we'd been together.
Lany's eyelids fluttered open. He blushed, which only made my dick throb more. Lany reached for me, pulling me down for a kiss. He licked at my lips more than kissed them. It sent a ripple of pleasure down my spine.
I leaned in for a kiss, but what I received were waves of electrifying pleasure that started at my lips and shot down until they reached my toes. My whole body seemed to come alive as Lany opened for me, sucking my tongue like he was dying. I stuck my tongue out, sliding it across Lany's lower lip. Lany opened for me, allowing me to invade his mouth. I plunged in, sweeping through and leaving my senses on fire.
I ghosted my hands over Lany, taking in his beauty as I kissed my way around to his neck. I felt the hard pulse in Lany's throat as I licked my way to the other side. Lany was like the food of the gods, and I wanted to taste every inch of him.
I parted my lips and sucked Lany's nipple between my teeth. I groaned at how good Lany's skin smelled. I could smell hot summer rain, taste it. My favorite scent.
As I licked at Lany's nipple with my tongue, I smoothed my hand over his body. It was incredible just how soft and flawless Lany's skin was. I couldn't seem to stop touching him. No matter what area my hands skimmed over, Lany's skin was pure perfection.
"You're so soft, Lany," I said as I kissed my way from one side of Lany's body to the other, listening to Lany's quiet moans of pleasure and the soft rhythm of his heart.
I pushed the blankets down to bare Lany's cock for my viewing—and touching— pleasure. It bounced up and slapped against Lany's abdomen.
The man even had a beautiful cock.
I leaned forward and blew across the purplish head, feeling the long shudder that passed through Lany. When I glanced up, I saw Lany had his lips caught between his teeth and his eyes closed tight.
I smirked.
I leaned forward again and licked the drop of pre-cum gathering on the head of Lany's cock. I groaned at just how sweet the taste really was. I suckled at the head and savored the man's flavor before I took the cock all the way down my throat.
Lany shouted and writhed.
I gripped the man's hips to still him.
Lany thrashed his head back and forth.
I lavished Lany's cock with my tongue.
I could hear Lany above me, crying out every time I swallowed him down my throat. It spurred me on to do more. I moved my hand between Lany's legs. I pushed against his knee with my shoulder, encouraging Lany to spread his legs wider.
It worked.
Lany spread his legs enough for me to reach between them and find his hole. I sucked Lany's cock into my mouth then let it slide out as I began kissing my way down to the sweet puckered hole waiting for me.
I grabbed the lube and quickly slathered up my fingers then pushed one into Lany's tight ass. Lany cried out above me. I began a slow rhythm of moving my finger in and out of Lany. At the same time, I stuck my tongue out and lavished the tight ring of muscles.
After a few minutes, I added another finger. Lany started bucking his hips. I moved faster, licking harder, pushing my tongue inward. A third finger had Lany's legs trembling. His cries had turned into one long, continuous whine.
My love was definitely a screamer.
The intense need to be buried deep rode me hard. I pulled my fingers free and got to my knees. I pushed Lany's legs back and positioned myself better. I poured a bit more lube out and spread it over my cock.
"Are you ready for me, caro?" I asked with an unsteady voice.
I normally took more time with Lany, but being so close, smelling his sweet scent, I found my control was nonexistent. I wanted to possess Lany, to bury myself deep inside of him.
I never wanted to come out.
Grabbing the round globes of Lany's ass, I separated them and guided my cock into the tight heat of Lany's body. I paused for just a moment to savor the feeling of being deep inside the man who owned me, heart and soul. Nothing had ever made me feel more complete.
"Sal, amore mio," Lany whispered against the soft skin of my His hands kneaded my shoulders, tugging me closer. "Please."
All logical thought was lost at the sound of that pleading word intertwined with my name. Something unhinged inside me. I snapped my hips forward at the same time that I pulled Lany's hips down. I thrust into Lany's tight grasp over and over again.
Waves of ecstasy throbbed through me when Lany cried out after just a few thrusts, filling the space between us with his release as his inner muscles gripped me like a vise grip.
I pressed Lany into the bed as I began to drive my cock into Lany's ass faster, harder, deeper. The electricity built, working its way up my spine and shattering me into a thousand pieces. I tossed my head back, shouting out Lany's name as my body convulsed, my seed emptying into his tight channel.
I dropped forward and rested my forehead against Lany, breathing hard and trying to get my heart rate to slow. Lany's exhausted amber-green eyes sparkled up at me.
I smiled as I gently stroked his fingers down over Lany's eyelids. "Sleep, caro."

Sunday Spotlight: Stormy Glenn and Hot Mess 7

Welcome Stormy Glenn back to Sunday Spotlight! She's here today to share a little about her upcoming release -- HOT MESS 7

Salvador
I'd become quite experienced at keeping my hot little mess out of trouble over the years, but when danger comes from an unknown source, keeping Lany safe might take more than a miracle. It'll take my entire SWAT team and every friend we have. Someone is out to get my love, and not even he knows who it is this time.

Lany
I wanted to roll my eyes. Sal freaked every time I stubbed a toe, let alone got shot at. You'd think the sexy SWAT commander would've grown used to it over the years. It wasn't like I planned this stuff. It just sort of happened. I just wished it happened a little less. This was getting embarrassing.

Story Excerpt

Salvador
"Dad."
I smiled every time I heard that word used by one of my kids. It had taken awhile for most of them to be comfortable with it, but nowadays, I heard it all the time. It filled me with a sense of pride and contentment every time.
Still, the tension in TJ's voice immediately sent me into panic mode. "How bad is it?"
"He slipped on the rug in the hallway coming in from playing out in the snow and hit his head on the stairs," TJ explained. "I called Dr. Jones like you taught me to and he's waiting at the hospital for us."
Damn.
"He needs to go to the hospital?"
"Marcus says he needs stitches, but that it's not life threatening."
My sigh was heavy. "I'm leaving now."
"Jamie is going to stay here and help Jenna with the younger kids. I'll ride to the hospital with Marcus and Lany."
TJ had really turned out to be a good kid. He was very responsible. As the oldest of all the children, he worked very hard to make sure everyone was okay and safe, especially Lany. He had a huge soft spot for Lany. Which made sense considering Lany had basically rescued him from a child slavery ring.
Sometimes I wished TJ would just be a kid, but he had lost some of his innocent ways after getting kidnapped by said child slavery ring and then forced to work in a drug lab. Some of the things that had happened to him were horrible to think about.
"Okay, I'll meet you at the emergency room."
"He didn't lose consciousness or anything and he's awake and answering all of Marcus's questions. There's just a lot of blood and a nasty gash in his forehead."
"Head wounds bleed a lot, TJ." I knew this for a fact. I'd experienced enough of them over the years. I was practically an expert.
Damn it.
"I'll be there soon, son." I stood even as I hung up the phone and slid it back into my pocket. "Clarke, I'm headed out," I called out as I headed out. "Lany is on his way to the hospital."
Clarke's head popped out of his office. "Do you need me to go with you?"
I shook my head. "TJ says it's just stitches, but I'll be off for the rest of the night. I have my phone. If you need me, call me."
"Will do, Boss."
I grabbed my jacket and headed out. I knew the team would be in good hands with Clarke in charge. The man had to take over for me more than once over the last several years. This was not Lany's first trip to the hospital.
My love was a hot mess. He got into more trouble than an entire drunken frat house let loose in a bordello. And if he didn't get into trouble, it came looking for him. I'd often told him he was a trouble magnet. Anyone who knew him readily agreed with me. Those who didn't changed their minds soon enough.
Lancaster Delvecchio was the love of my life, my reason for drawing every breath I took. He was also the catalyst for more migraine headaches than I cared to remember.
I tried to drive like a regular person as I headed for the hospital, but gave that up after two blocks of bumper to bumper traffic and turned on the lights and siren. Traffic was still pretty bad, but at least I wasn't having to drive up on the sidewalk.
The police commissioner frowned on that.
At the emergency room, I quickly pulled my SUV into the spot marked for law enforcement personnel and jumped out. I'm sure any regular person would have been amazed that I'd been to the emergency room so many times that I knew the security guard's first name.
I wasn't.
I waved as I walked past him.
I stopped briefly at the check in counter. "Afternoon, Dana," I said to the nurse behind the counter.
She smiled when she glanced up. "He's in room twelve, Sal."
"Thanks." The double security doors opened as I reached them. I walked through them and then made my way down the corridor and around the corner until I reached exam room twelve.
I'd been here before.
Can you tell?
When I stepped inside, my gaze instantly went to the man lying on the exam bed while a doctor carefully stitched the cut on his forehead together. His eyes were closed, but I could see the tight grip he had on the hem of his shirt, so I knew he was awake.
"Dad!"
"Hey, champ." I gave TJ a hug when the gangly teenager barreled into me. I knew TJ was really good at looking like he was holding it together, but I could also feel the kid's relief that he didn't have to be quite so strong anymore. I was there to take the burden off his shoulders.
I gave TJ an extra squeeze before digging a few dollars out of my pocket and handing them over. "Can you run down to the cafeteria and get Lany a Snickers Bar and an orange juice. His blood sugar is going to tank after this."
TJ nodded before running off.
I nodded to Marcus, who stood against the wall then turned my attention back to my husband. I walked to the side of the bed and took the hand Lany held out to me. My stomach rolled a bit as I watched the doctor thread the stitches through Lany's skin. No matter how many times I saw it, it still made me queasy.
"How bad is it, Skip?"
Dr. Seamore "Skip" Jones. He'd been treating Lany longer than I'd known either of them. He knew Lany's medical history inside and out. I was glad of that. If anyone knew how to treat Lany's frequent injuries it was Skip.
"Just five stitches, Sal," Skip replied. He smiled when he glanced up. "You might want to get the paperwork started now. I should be done here in a few minutes and then you can take Lany home. There's no reason to keep him as long as you follow the normal aftercare procedures."
I walked around to the far side of the bed then leaned down close to Lany's ears. "How are you, caro?"
"I feel stupid," Lany whispered back. His eyelids fluttered then opened, showing me his amber-green eyes, filled with pain. It was a sight I never liked to see. "You'd think I'd grow out of this crap at some point in my life. I'm the father of six kids for goodness sake."
I smiled as I brushed the light brown hair back from Lany's pale face. "You're a fantastic lesson to our kids in what not to do."
Lany's eyes rolled. "Gee, thanks."
I chuckled because how could I not? Lany was a constant delight.

Adult Excerpt
My breath caught in my throat when I reached the curve of Lany's ass and he pulled his leg up to his chest. My fingers slid right down between Lany's ass cheeks. I quickly moved my hand away from Lany's ass and back up to his chest. As much as I wanted to sink into his silky depths, I wanted my love mindless with passion first.
I cupped his jaw, tilting his head back. I swirled my tongue over Lany's sweet tasting skin. "Caro," I whispered softly as I leaned forward and claimed Lany's plush lips.
Lany groaned and leaned into the kiss.
Kissing Lany was just as good as licking his skin. Touching him was even better. The soft little moans of delight that fell from Lany's lips went right to my cock, making me harder than steel.
I felt as if I could fuck a brick wall.
I stroked his hand over Lany's smooth chest as I kissed him. My heart skipped a beat when I felt Lany's nipples pebble under the palms of my hand. I twirled my fingers around one nipple, stroking the sensitive flesh until Lany was shuddering in my arms.
"Do you like that, caro?" I asked as I tugged on a nipple with my fingers. Lany's only answer was a slow moan as he arched toward my fingers. I chuckled lightly and switched from one nipple to the other, giving it the same treatment. "I guess you do."
"Sal, prego," Lany cried out.
I leaned back until I could grab the bottle of lube off the nightstand then scooted down Lany's body. I so had to taste Lany's smooth skin. Flipping the covers back from Lany's body, I settled between his legs.
"Oh, caro," I whispered when I saw the silky smooth skin of Lany's groin. He had to have shaved sometime today because he was not that smooth last night. I know. I'd checked. "You are so perfect for me."
Lany almost came off the bed when I licked a line from his balls to the top of his groin. I grinned and pressed my hands against Lany's hips, holding him down to the bed as I continued to lick every bit of smooth skin I could reach.
My cock ached so much I was afraid it might break off if I nudged it even a little. Lany was perfect, accepting everything I had to give him and begging for more.
I was in heaven, and his name was Lany Delvecchio.
I poured some lube out on my fingers then pushed them between Lany's ass cheeks. The tightness of Lany's puckered opening made me shudder in anticipation. I couldn't wait to have that tightness wrapped around my cock.
I started brushing my fingers against Lany's hole, putting more pressure into my touch with each caress until they slipped inside. Lany groaned, stiffening. I eased up for a moment then leaned forward to swallow Lany's cock, sucking it down my throat.
Once Lany was distracted by the mouth on his cock, I started pushing my fingers into the man's ass again. This time, I met no resistance. Two fingers slid right in. It didn't take me more than a few moments of stretching Lany before I could get in a third finger and then a fourth.
I wasn't a small man.
Once Lany was stretched, I released the cock in my mouth to Lany's cries of dismay. I scooted up and knelt between Lany's thighs and lifted his ass in my hands. I gripped Lany's ass with my hands and thrust forward.
My body quaked as I sank into Lany's sweet body. I dropped my head back and just breathed once I was fully in. Heaven didn't even begin to describe what it felt like to be balls deep inside my Lany.
I raised Lany's legs into the air and hooked my arms under them. When I leaned forward over Lany's body and placed my hands on either side of his head, Lany's legs were parallel to his chest.
I flexed my hips and slowly withdrew my cock until on the head remained encased inside Lany's body, and then I slammed forward. Lany screamed as his head arched back into the pillow beneath him.
I did it again and again, moving faster and faster with each deep thrust. Only by gripping Lany's thighs did I keep him from shooting up to the top of the bed as I pounded into him.
I was getting close. I could feel my balls drawing up tight against my body. I knew I only had moments before I flew over the edge with abandon. I wanted Lany to go with me. I grabbed his cock and started stroking him to the speed of my thrusts.
"My Lany, my tesoro, la mia stella brillante," I whispered.
My orgasm grabbed me by the balls and dragged me over the edge at the speed of light. One moment I was wavering, savoring the exquisite feeling of being balls deep inside Lany. The next moment, I was roaring out my release as I filled Lany's ass with shot after shot of cum.
Lany's tight body tightened around my cock. Each little tremor rocked through me, prolonging my pleasure until I thought I was going to pass out. Ropes of pearly white cum shot out of his dick, splattering over the both of us.
I dropped down on top of Lany and tried to breath. You'd think after all these years, sex between us would grow mundane, but it got better each and every time.
When I was able to lift my head, I couldn't help but chuckle as I looked down. Lany was passed out cold, but he had a smile on his face. I leaned in and planted a small kiss on Lany's lips.
"My sweettesoro."
I carefully slid from Lany's body and rolled to the side of the bed. I quickly went to the bathroom and cleaned up then came back into the bedroom to clean up Lany. After chucking the washcloth back into the bathroom, I climbed into bed and pulled Lany into my arms then pulled the covers over both of us.
"Thank you, Lany," I whispered even though I knew Lany couldn't hear me. "Tu sei una stella... la mia stella."

Sunday Spotlight - Maggie Walsh and Cree Storm's Savage Heart

Welcome Maggie Walsh back to Sunday Spotlight. She's here to share her and Cree Storm's new release, Savage Heart.

***

New from M/M authors Maggie Walsh and Cree Storm. A new spin off series from their bestselling Eternal Flames Series, comes Savage Island, where the shifters found here are from a world long gone by.

Russell Savage has been around since the dawn of time. He is the original shifter and has spent most of his life fighting in one war or another as well as hoping that one day he would be blessed with a mate. Little did he expect to find him, clinging to life, as the last victim of a serial rapist and killer in Crystal, Colorado. Going on pure instinct and need, Savage whisks his mate to the place he has called home for thousands of years.

Gill wakes in a strange place, with a gorgeous stranger watching over him, explaining that he is the ultimate of shifters and Gill is his mate. All the promises Savage makes about love, safety and acceptance is something out of the romance novels Gill loves to write. However, how can he believe Savage when his own parents never offered any of the same. Little did Gill know how easy that would be but underestimating how far his family would go to get him back threatens the life Gill and Savage are trying to build.

How will Gill and Savage unravel the evil Gill’s father has started so that Gill can finally find love, peace, and paradise, in a place they call… Savage Island.

EXCERPT:

Russell moved closer then slid an arm under Gill’s shoulders. “Here, let me help you.”

With Russell’s help, Gill was sat up and leaned against the headboard. The pain in his back was still there but not so bad. Once he was comfortable, Russell released him and stepped away. Gill could swear he heard a quick intake of breath as Russell touched him and then felt the reluctance when Russell released him, but he knew he must be mistaken. There was no way, even though the man seemed to be flirting with him, that anyone who looked like Russell Savage could be interested in a dweeb like him.

“There, is that better?”

“Yes, thank you,” Gill replied shyly.

Russell gave him a beautiful smile full of sparkling white teeth. “Hey now, none of that. You don’t need to be shy with me.”

Gill cleared his throat. “Okay then if I am on some island, then my first question is how long have I been asleep? Because as far as I know the last place I was, was in Colorado and there are no islands there, which means we traveled some distance and I don’t remember a damn thing. So how long have I been out and what caused me to be out?”

The smile fell from Russell’s lips and his eyes filled with anger, but somehow Gill knew it wasn’t at him, but Russell’s reaction was beginning to worry him. “I will answer all of your questions and I promise to always be honest with you, but first let me ask you this. What do you remember?”

Russel watched Gill’s face closely trying to concentrate on the conversation and not the scent of fresh chocolate mint candy ready to be tasted. Just touching Gill and being so close, when he helped the man sit up had about made him forget his mate’s injuries and give Gill what his eyes and lust filled scent had been asking for.

“Honestly it is all broken up. I think I have flashes, but honestly Russ, I don’t think my mind wants to remember,” Gill softly replied.

Savage pulled up his high wing back chair close to his fated one, sat, then gently placing his hand on top of Gill’s. “It’s okay, Gill. Sometimes our minds know when our body needs healing and when you’re ready it will bring the memories back to you. I give you my word, as your mate, that I will do everything in my power to help you through that when the time comes.”

“Maybe it would be best if you just told me,” Gill suggested.

Shaking his head, Savage replied, “I don’t think that’s wise. However, I can tell you this, you were badly injured. You had three broken ribs, internal bleeding, a severe concussion, and well…a broken back. I didn’t think you would live until I brought you home. Grey healed you as best he could, he mended your ribs, fixed your spleen and was able to bring the swelling in your brain down. He has intermittently tried to heal your spine and you won’t have to wear a back brace because of his treatments, but the rest is up to you.”

Gill continued to stare at Savage, rapidly blinking. “Are you saying I won’t be able to walk?”
