Three Alarm Heat

Alphas of the Western Provinces, Book 3

by Kelex

Harrison Walker watches the world burn—for a living. Currently, the province’s only fire investigator, he’s kept busy, particularly by a serial arsonist leaving a trail of destruction through one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Fort Seattle. When a local artist’s studio is torched, Harrison finally gets a break in the case.

Only, is it their arsonist, or a targeted attack by a copycat?

When Tanner’s studio burns, Raimy Kellam does his best to support his best friend. He inadvertently becomes the only witness to have potentially seen the pyromaniac, which thrusts him into Harrison’s life… where Raimy senses their bond.

Only, Harrison already has someone in his life.

Cassidy Springdale has spent nearly a decade loving Harrison—always knowing his alpha’s omega could be around any corner and their love affair would end. When Raimy arrives in their lives, he must decide if he’s going to walk away or fight for the man he loves.

OUT NOW! Unwitting Mate

Unwitting Mate
Valleywood 17
by Kelex

Holden Jacobs is tired of being passed over for almost every role he’s ever auditioned for. After a decade in Valleywood, he has little to show for it besides a bunch of bit parts and commercials on his resume. All the good, meaty roles he wants seem to go to alphas. He’s not sure he has what it takes until one evening at Forbidden Underground changes everything.

Five-foot-nothing Fenn Perry flounces into Forbidden Underground in his pink tee, black tutu, and even blacker silk stockings and spies the beta of his dreams. When he has to make the first move, he knows he needs to make it count—and he’s very ready for the challenge. Who knew this bottom had it in him to play top?

Their bathroom hookup goes into overtime and they end up at Fenn’s place after. As morning dawns, an unexpected change will rock both their worlds… in ways neither could have imagined.

Trigger Warning: Off-page assault of secondary character, Violence

This 75,000 word novel is filled with a little angst, transitions, a lot of heat, humor, violence, and drama. If you love strong-willed, femme omegas and the men who love them, then this book might be for you.

A year ago, Alpha Dominick “Dom” Harper made the move to Valleywood to find his way onto the big screen, but he’s only managed to land a few roles in student flicks. To make ends meet, he spends his nights working behind the bar, mixing cocktails for the brash and beautiful. One evening brings him face-to-face with the owner of the newly opened Viper Productions—and an invitation for an audition with plenty of strings attached.

An audition that has Flynn Walker in attendance, the film's omega director—and his mate. Already twisted into knots by the film’s producer, Dom can’t pursue what’s his.

At least, not openly.

Flynn Walker isn’t ready to jump into the sack with Dom, either. Few omega directors exist in Valleywood, and no one wanted to invest in his vanity project except the new production house. He’s not ready to put his career and his project in jeopardy over a man.

Even if that man is his mate.

Can Dom and Flynn figure out a way to be together without ruining their careers and destroying the movie that brought them together?

Coming Soon! One Wild Omega (Alphas of the Western Provinces, 2)

One Wild Omega
Alphas of the Western Provinces, 2

Tanner's story is coming soon!

(Unedited blurb)

From the first moment they met, Tanner McCreary and Fitz Walker have always had a love-hate relationship. One that bordered more on the latter, much to the chagrin of Tanner—who knew from first glance that Fitz was his alpha. For some reason, Fitz acted like he wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. Even with the scent masking drug, Scentex, keeping them free, an omega’s alphas always seemed to sense something in the air when close.

But that wasn’t the case with Fitz.

So Tanner backed off, licked his wounds, and figured fate would lead them back together someday. Maybe then things would be different.

Someday came, but only made the situation worse. Tanner learned they shared a close friend in common—another omega—one Fitz eventually bedded. Brokenhearted, Tanner was sure the gods, fate, or whoeverwas in charge of binding an alpha and an omega together had gotten it very, very wrong.

His mate wasn’tthe one apparently. Tanner lied to himself, saying he didn’t care, and kept his secret close. When the truth finally emerges, Fitz knows he has mountains to climb to make things right, and even that might not be enough.

PREORDER NOW! One Wild Heat: An MPREG Omegaverse Book

One Wild Heat
An MPREG Omegaverse Book
(Alphas of the Western Provinces, 1)

~Coming to Amazon & Kindle Unlimted 17 May 2019~

After catching his beta boyfriend in bed with another alpha, Quinn McCreary needs a quiet space away before he does something he’ll regret—like let the man remain in his life. He heads up to the little used family lake house, hoping it’s enough distance between him and a cheating ex.

Too bad his younger omega brother has handed a key to that lake house to a friend who needs to cycle off his heat-blocking drugs. Bellamy Carter has waited too long and his body is struggling. He’s on the cusp of a wild heat—brought on by suppressing his nature too long. By the time he walks into the lake house, he’s in full heat… and there’s a sexy alpha across the room who’s more than willing to assist.

Quinn is enslaved by the instinct and goes into full rut. The pair spend several days in bed, sating the animal need within them both. When it’s over, they part awkwardly, still little more than strangers. Unsure how they feel about each other and the bond they’ve already seemed to forge, it’s not until they see each other again that they realize it wasn’t just a wild heat, but something more.

But will life get into the way of their happily ever after?

Note: This is NOT Avery and Wilder's story. It's the first book in a new series based in the SAME WORLD as His Surrogate Omega.

Omegaverse FAQ -- What are these heat drugs the omegas take?

I know you have questions about Heat Repress and what it does exactly.

Or the drugs Avery is taking to let him pass as a beta... I mean, what the hell are they and where the hell did he find them?

So, here's all you need to know about the heat drugs our omegas might or might not be on in my Omegaverse books.

**Note -- if you're interested in reading more about heats in my Omegaverse, check out THIS post.

1. Heat Repress

This is the one most of you are familiar with from His Surrogate Omega. It's the drug that's threatening to stop working for Gray and the reason he feels he has no choice but to become a surrogate -- to give his body a break.

Heat Repress doesn't completely curb an omega's heat. On it, they are still riddled with lust and the desire to be mated, but the urge is contained and prevents an unmated omega from going over the edge, climbing the city walls, and begging ANY alpha to breed him.

Alphas in an omega-in-heat's presence will go into partial rut.

It must be taken twice daily -- morning and evening -- starting on the day before a heat begins (linked to the lunar cycle) through to the end of the heat -- a total of four days.

It does NOT prevent pregnancy.

It does nothing to hide an omega's scent from alphas.

For mated couples, it allows clarity of mind. So things like condoms don't get forgotten in the heat of the moment.

Truly meant to help younger, unmated omegas until they find their mates—as well as mated ones between pregnancies—it isn't made to be on long-term. Hence Gray's issue with it beginning to fail him.

2. Heatex

Illegal in the Eastern Provinces (where His Surrogate Omega takes place) this is basically a much, much stronger version of Heat Repress. Omegas in the Western Provinces have already battled for their rights and use Heatex and Scentex to control their own reproductive rights.

Heatex curbs 80-90% of an omega's heat. There's still a bit of lust, but it can be easily contained and does not bring their world to a complete halt.

Alphas in the presence of an omega on Heatex do not go into rut (unless it's beginning to fail -- then they'll go into varying stages of rut depending on how bad the failure is...)

The pills must be taken twice daily -- morning and evening -- starting on the day before a heat begins (linked to the lunar cycle) through to the end of the heat -- a total of four days -- just like Heat Repress.

It does NOT prevent pregnancy.

It does nothing to hide an omega's scent from alphas.

One con to Heatex, like Heat Repress, it can fail if an omega uses it non-stop without an occasional break. Once every year or two, an omega needs to cycle off. Because it's stronger than Heat Repress, that failure happens faster. If an omega continuously takes Heatex non-stop, it will fail them in 3-5 years.

Sometimes it's difficult for an unmated omega to cycle off. They must be in a safe place, protected, to ensure they can cycle off without the chances of being bred. This sometimes leads some omegas to overuse and less cycling off -- especially those with less financial means.

3. Scentex

Also illegal in the Eastern Provinces, the omegas of the Western Provinces use this drug to mask their scent. It allows them the freedom to move amongst alphas without worrying their alpha could find them and publicly claim them. On Scentex, their alpha could pass by them without an idea their omega was within arm's reach.

It also helps curb their desire for their alpha, as it impacts their own scent glands, too. In other words, an omega knows their alpha at first scent -- but they can control their reaction better thanks to the Scentex.

Scentex is a liquid/injectable. It must be administered once every three months via syringe into a fatty part of the body. Once a dosage is missed, it can take up to three weeks before an omega's scent becomes detectable again.

It does NOT prevent pregnancy.

It does nothing to alter an omega's heat.

****UPDATE TO ADD - Scentex is made to be used in conjunction with Heatex. If an omega is in heat, Scentex might not be strong enough to fully cover the scent of an omega's slick. An alpha nearby could potentially scent him, particularly in close quarters in an enclosed space. ****

4. Birth Control

There are birth control pills in this world, but they're illegal in many provinces. There's also side effects that can cause an omega to become infertile, which has helped cause a bit of a stigma surrounding any omega or couple who uses them in the provinces that do allow them.

Condoms are the prophylactic of choice in most provinces and are very effective if used properly.

A device similar to a diaphragm is also used in some cases, particularly nursing omegas unable to return to their heat blocking drugs. While nursing, most omegas' heats are naturally milder anyway thanks to the higher levels of pregnancy hormones still in their blood, so they tend not to suffer as much on their own.

May 2019 Writing Update -- AKA -- "No offense, but when THE FUCK is there going to be a new book??"

I know, I know...

I usually put books out at a fairly regular clip and here lately I've not been doing that.

I had some health issues and had to take a few weeks off writing to heal. It's still a process and I'm not 100%, but I'm getting there. And I have some good news... there are some new books coming.

Bad news... the muse wasn't ready to complete Wilder and Avery's story quite yet.

I WON'T force it. I've forced books before (recently, Bear Mountain 22) and it's painful to do and I'm never happy with the completed product. Wilder and Avery deserve better than that.

While doing a little brainstorming for Wilder and Avery's story, I realized there were a few questions about the drugs Avery is taking to conceal who he is. Where did they come from? How did he get them? What is the difference between Heat Repress and whatever it is he's on?

The answers to those questions led me toward a new path in my Omegaverse. Since the muse was dragging on Wilder and Avery's story, I turned my attention there. So, in other words -- there is a new novel based in the Omegaverse coming later this month -- One Wild Heat (Alphas of the Western Provinces, 1).

It's already done and in my editor's hands. Beta readers have given me the thumbs up -- so I think we're getting close. I hope to release it mid-May.

Now, a lot of you have commented that you really wish there had been more one on one time with Gray and Rohan at the end of His Surrogate Omega. I heard you. And you're getting what you asked for. I'm nearly done writing a Gray and Rohan short story that takes place when the twins are 15 months old.

It's slated for release late May!

I'm also a part of an upcoming promotion for Memorial Day! I'll be one of 20+ authors participating in the SUMMER HEAT MPREG Giveaway! More details on that will come closer to the end of the May!

Once that short story is completed, the plan is to get back to Wilder and Avery's story - His Reluctant Omega. The hope is to write THE END by June and get it out June/July -- but I have to let my muse lead the way. I want their story to be amazing and rival His Surrogate Omega as your favorite :)

Sunday Spotlight - Ezra Dawn and The Cursed Prince

Welcome Ezra Dawn back to Sunday Spotlight. She's sharing a bit from her new release, The Cursed Prince

***

The Blurb

(This story is a work of fiction. Loosely based on the legends of ‘The devil of the seas’ known as Davey Jones, Davey Jones’ Locker, and the ghost ship known as ‘The Flying Dutchman’)

Davyn

Davyn Bartholomew Jones was once known as the seventh prince to the Merfolk kingdom Nautilus. After ending up on the wrong side of a certain god during a time when pirates are common, he becomes a cursed prince. Given the nickname Davey, he’s forced to sail the seas for eternity as the captain aboard a ghost ship that’s never allowed to port.

Juraquille

Juraquille Ryu is the last of his kind. Once worshipped as a god among humans he now lives alone in an undersea mountain range near the Bermuda Triangle. He’s waited an eternity for his fated mate, for the chance to rekindle his bloodline, but as the years pass with no sign of the mate he longs for he begins to give up hope.

Together

Davyn hopes fate will bless him with a mate to share the burden of his curse. Juraquille wants to find his mate and start a family. Will fate bless these two with the love they both desperately want and need, or will she turn her back allowing Juraquille’s line to die with him and Davyn to remain forever alone?

(Warning: Contains sexual content, Mpreg, and explicit language. Not recommended for those under the age of 18.)

Prologue

Davey

For hundreds of years, I’ve sailed the seas, ferrying the souls of those lost at sea to the land of the dead. Centuries ago during a period when pirates ruled the seas, I made a mistake. One that cost me greatly. I was seventh in line for the throne of the city of Nautilus when my father held a party at the castle. Everyone was invited, commoners, nobles, even gods. I had a bit too much of the specialty wine brewed by our city’s best vintners and insulted the wrong person when he hit on me.

Instead of simply saying, ‘sorry not interested,’ I was rude and went too far. To this day, I’m not even sure why I said it the way I did since the god in question was stunningly beautiful but wasn’t what I normally go for. The wine destroyed my brain to mouth filter so instead of letting him down gently, I said something along the lines of ‘I wouldn’t touch you with a ten-foot pole. Not only are you older than dirt but you also aren’t my type.’

At the time, I didn’t know what I’d said had been that bad until the entire room abruptly went silent, as if they were waiting for the god to react. It wasn’t a long wait. His face turned red in embarrassment and his eyes lit with fury. “Won’t touch me with a ten-foot pole, huh? Well, now you’ll never touch anyone who isn’t dead. I, Thanatos, curse you Davyn Bartholomew Jones to a life of eternal servitude. Until I say otherwise, you will sail the seas as captain aboard a ghost ship and ferry the souls of those who’ve died at sea to the land of the dead. You will never be allowed to port, and your ship will have no crew. You will be utterly alone.”

Author Bio

Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously, but I liked the name, so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels, but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre, so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children. It sounds weird but that’s how I feel about them. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but only started actively pursuing it as a career three years ago, when I stopped working in a salon to pursue writing full time. Since I published my first book in 2014, I have written and released many other books with many more to come. My current list of projects is longer than my arm, so I look forward to writing and creating new stories for my readers to enjoy.

Sunday Spotlight – Lisa Oliver and I Can See You

Welcome Lisa Oliver back to Sunday Spotlight! She's here to share a little from her new release -- I Can See You (The Gods Made Me Do It, 5)

***

Artemas, known as the academic son of Poseidon, spent much of his time trying to work out how the Fates decided who was to be mated to whom. With the fall of his brothers, his father, and others in their close circle, he was worried he'd be next in line and the last thing he wanted or needed was a mate. But his uncle Zeus pulled him away from his studies with a special project for him - the retrieval of a book from an auction. A very special book by all accounts; the only known written record from the god Silvanus, one of the originals who hadn't been heard from for decades. Unable to resist a good book mystery, Artemas agrees to leave Poseidon's library long enough to bid on it.

Silvanus had spent fifty years in deep despair over what was happening to the world. He'd been alone since the beginning of time, and when his depression reached breaking point, he pleads with the Fates to remove him from the tapestry of life. Telling him it was impossible, the Fates agreed to a promise instead. Silvanus would find his mate and the love his heart hoped for. Seeking to regain his book, after it'd been sold at an auction, Silvanus lands in a hotel room, meeting his fated promise face-to-face. Unfortunately, their first meeting was not the romantic event Silvanus had hoped for.

It's soon clear Artemas's emotional baggage wasn't the only threat to their possible mating. A meddling god is on the loose, and when Odin and Loki are ruled out as possible suspects, only one other god comes to mind. Throw in the fact that Thor was due to give birth any minute, and Artemas and Silvanus have to work together in more ways than one. Will Silvanus ever get the time to heal the pain in Artemas's heart, or will the meddling god take everything they have and more?

This is an MM true mates’ story, based on ancient gods. MPREG elements are not the main focus of this story, but a cursing Thor does give birth within these pages. Being familiar with the previous books in this series, and the Cloverleah Pack series will help give context to the storyline.

Excerpt

Poseidon eyed him calmly. “Are you still holding that petty grudge about me and Thoth? For fuck’s sake. You’re better than that.”

“It’s got nothing to do with that.” But as Artemas said it, he knew his reaction against Silvanus had everything to do with that and Poseidon knew it. “Okay, have it your way. It’s got everything to do with the way you and Thoth turned my birth into a full scale feud. You knew he was married, but it didn’t stop you fucking him. He was an academic. He wouldn’t have known what hit him when you poured on the charm. He dumped me. He dumped me because his wife couldn’t stomach seeing him care for or show feelings for the proof of his infidelity.”

“She always was a narrow minded woman,” Poseidon scowled, probably thinking about her. “You’d think she’d loosen up a bit. Times were different then. We were all different then. Fidelity was nothing more than an abstract construct until the Christian religion got their hands on the masses. If Thoth had shown an ounce of the wisdom he was known for, he wouldn’t have married her in the first place. I was not the first man he bent over for and I wouldn’t have been the last.”

“You’re missing the point,” Artemas gritted his teeth as all the hurt from the past came flooding to the fore. “You knowingly seduced a married man on a bet, from Uncle Zeus of all people. I was the result. You weren’t there when Thoth’s wife was subjecting me to the hell of a thousand cuts, you were too busy getting your dick shined by a hundred other people. And then, when Thoth finally took his nose out of a book long enough to realize what was happening, what did he do? Stand up for me? Fight for me? Let his wife know I was worth something? No. He dumped me on your doorstep, and we all know how fucking happy you were about that. Not! I was ten years old.”

“Which was considered nearly an adult at the time. Remember children were working from as young as five in the old days.”

Even now, he won’t admit what he did was wrong. “But I didn’t get put to work, did I?” Artemas raged. “If I had, at least I would’ve seen people aside from the hurt faces of your latest conquests when you kicked them out before the cum you covered them in dried. That was the only way I even knew you were home or that other people even existed. Thoth abandoned me, and you acted like I wasn’t even there. Even the Mer guards wouldn’t have anything to do with me, and why? Because you were fucking them too.”

“I don’t expect you to understand….”

“That’s freaking great, because I don’t understand. I never did. Why was I even conceived? No, don’t answer that. I remember you telling me when I was twelve. You were a mistake.” Artemas could mimic Poseidon perfectly. “A mistake! And you’ve never let me forget it. Thoth couldn’t even be bothered to visit, even when his many wives left him. You were too busy screwing anything with legs or tails to care about raising your son. Never once, in the thousands of years of my existence have I ever felt I was worth more to you than a discarded condom.”

“If condoms were around then, you wouldn’t be here to have this conversation.”

Sunday Spotlight - M.M. Wilde (Morticia Knight) and A Hatchling for Valentine's

Welcome Morticia Knight back to Sunday Spotlight! I'm super excited about this story and can't wait to read it myself. She's sharing a bit about her new release writing as M.M. Wilde -- A Hatching for Valentine's...

* * *

What surprises await Vic and Kellan when their egg finally hatches?

Kellan’s new life in the magical town of Vale Valley is filled with more love and joy than he’d ever dared dream of. Even more thrilling is the new life growing inside the egg he and his Alpha wolf mate watch over night and day. When their hatchling still fails to appear after several weeks, Kellan fights his growing fears about the uncertainty of a swan mating with a wolf.

All Vic wants is to keep his beautiful swan omega and their egg safe. He’d despaired of ever finding the one who was meant for him, and he’ll do everything within his power to protect his true love and their baby. Vic might still be bewildered by nesting and swan cuisine, but whatever his omega wants, Vic makes sure he gets.

As Valentine’s Day draws near, Vic’s plan to do something special for their first celebration of the holiday doesn’t seem possible. The egg isn’t showing any signs of hatching and no one—not even the avian fertility specialist—knows why. Then, the last person they want to see makes an unexpected appearance.

Vic is about to discover how tough his sweet little swan truly is…

Note: A Hatchling for Valentine’s is the 8th book in Season Two of the multi-author series about Vale Valley, a small magical town open to everyone in need of love and a home. Each installment in the series can be read as a standalone, however, Kellan and Vic’s story is a continuation from Season One’s A Swan for Christmas. This mpreg romance novella features a swan and wolf who are fated mates and are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first tiny hatchling. So grab a box of chocolates, a glass of champagne and put your feet up and enjoy a sweet dose of smexy mpreg.

Excerpt

Kellan checked the ingredients for the elderberry cobbler he was making for Vic. The confection would go along with the brisket he already had in the oven and the green bean casserole that Skip, the restaurant’s chef, had shown him how to make. He wasn’t so sure about the goopy mushroom soup that came from a can, but Skip swore by it. Vic had eaten a pile of it at Thanksgiving. Kellan hadn’t felt as adventurous, so he’d downed two large bowls of cranberry sauce instead.
After setting everything he needed for the dessert to one side, he double-checked the temperature in the cabin.
Ninety degrees. Perfect.
Despite wanting to spend every waking minute on his nest, it wasn’t necessary—especially now that the soft patches allowing for growth were almost all hardened. He and Vic would have six hours to be together, as long as the cabin remained hot and the egg was covered with blankets. One important thing he hadlearned from Jonas, the swan shifter Dr. Arthur had put him in touch with, was that nesting wasn’t only about keeping the egg warm—it was about bonding with their unborn child.
Kellan smiled to himself. He could tell it had made a difference in Vic. He’d never let on, but he would peek at Vic and their egg when his mate would take over the nesting duties, would watch him with their egg. Kellan still needed to learn more about Alpha wolves and what their behavior was like toward their young, but Vic was so sweet and loving with the egg, talking to their unborn child through the shell when he thought he was alone. If he’d thought his heart was full of love for his mate before, the sight of him with their hatchling-to-be had cemented his feelings.
The door swung wide and a cold blast of air followed Vic inside. He shook snowflakes out of his hair and beard, stamping his boots on the mat in the entryway to get rid of the powdery residue that still clung to his footwear. Kellan rushed over to greet him.
“Oh no, did the snow cut your run short?”
The storm hadn’t been expected until much later. Kellan took Vic’s jacket from him to hang on the coat rack while Vic bent down to unlace his boots. He straightened, then toed them off, holding an arm out in invitation to Kellan.
“Nah. Skip had a date with a bear shifter and I wanted to get home to you.” He gave Kellan a kiss on the head as he embraced him. “And a little snow won’t stop wolves from running, trust me. It’s when it turns into a blizzard that it gets a bit dicey.” He gave Kellan a squeeze. “The night I found you lost in the woods I hadn’t planned to stay out very long. I knew it was gonna be a doozy.” Vic angled back to frame Kellan’s face with his palms. “I’m so grateful I didn’t change my mind about going out that night.”
Vic descended on Kellan’s lips, moving his mouth over them in a soft affirmation of his words. Kellan was grateful too. He would’ve been a goner if Vic hadn’t found him when he had.
More confirmation that fate was on our side.
Vic released him then stuck his nose in the air, sniffing. “That smells amazing.” He regarded Kellan. “Red meat. Did you need me to get you any fish? Or…” He pursed his lips in what seemed to be an unsuccessful attempt at hiding his disgust. “A frog… or other pond creature? I didn’t see any in the fridge.”
Kellan giggled at Vic’s expression. “No, I’m fine for tonight. I’m having yams and green beans. Plus, I’m making an elderberry cobbler for dessert, so I’ll have lots of that.” He’d set aside some extra beans for himself so he could eat them sans goop.
Kellan wrapped his fingers around Vic’s hand and led him across the living room toward the open kitchen of their small, pine wood cabin. “Will you tell me about your run while I cook? I want to hear some wolfy things.”
Vic snorted as he followed behind Kellan. “Wolfy things?”
“Yeah.” Kellan dropped Vic’s hand to go back to his task. “I want to know more about you, about wolf packs and how all that works.” He glanced over his shoulder as he opened the bag of flour. “Plus, our baby will be half wolf, and I should be aware of what they need, what they’re like.”
Vic tugged at his beard. “Hmm. I guess I hadn’t thought too much about that. I mean, I know the baby will be part of me, but…” His eyes darted to the bedroom where their egg rested in the nest. “I guess I always think of them being mostly swan because of the egg and all.”
Kellan chewed his lower lip, setting the measuring cup down so he could face Vic. “Does it bother you? I mean, if that happened?”
Vic shook his head. “Gods, no. Even if the baby was all swan, I would still be over the moon.” His expression softened as he smiled. “I love you with all my heart, love your swan. How could it ever bother me to have a beautiful child just like his beautiful father?”
A sense of peace washed over Kellan. He might not have had love growing up, but he now had more than he’d ever hoped for. For the rest of his life, he’d be part of a realfamily.

EXCERPT

Austin winced, but kept pushing. "I figured that's probably what you were thinking, so how about this then—we'll get married on paper, but you can still work for me if that makes you feel better." He looked around his pristine office. It hadn't escaped my notice that every room in his house was perfectly organized and clean—it was as if dust were afraid to even show its filthy face in his presence. I snorted, biting back a serious case of giggles at the next words to come out of his mouth. "You can just… I don’t know, dust or something. You know, do a little light housekeeping, if it makes you feel like you're paying your own way."

"I'm not saying yes." I held up my hand before he could distract me from finishing my thought. "But I'm also thinking that you're going to keep this up until you wear me down, aren’t you? So I have one question for you. If I were to agree to this whole marriage of convenience idea, would you at least be willing to let me sign a prenup? Because fake or not, if we are married, I'd have access to your money and I don't need your family to think that's what I'm after."

"You're amazing." Austin chuckled. "Not only am I having to barter and wheedle to get you to accept my help, but you're probably the first person in history to insist upon a prenup which favors the other person rather than yourself. But sure, if it’ll put your mind at ease then I'll have my attorneys draw one up, and I’m adding in a part where it’s my job to take care of you, because I have a bad feeling you’re going to be stubborn when it comes to letting me protect you."

"I didn't say yes yet, Austin," I reminded him. "Besides, I'm still really not comfortable with the idea of committing insurance fraud."

"Owen," Austin groaned with a patient smile. "Let me put it to you like this. You will be living in my house… cleaning said house, and probably even helping to cook meals, right?" At my nod, he flashed me a smug smile. "Well, the only difference between doing all of that and being a husband is a piece of paper and sex. I don't require sex, but the piece of paper will mean the difference for you and your baby." He pouted playfully, giving me the cutest case of puppy dog eyes I'd ever seen. "Let me help your son, Owen. Like Houston said, won't somebody think of the children?"

"Fine," I said with a groan as if I were the one being put out by his generous offer. "You'd better call your attorney, though. I mean it, Austin. I'm not marrying you until after I’ve signed that prenuptial agreement."

"I'll get it handled right now, and we can probably get married tomorrow. I would say today, but I need to get to the hospital and meet Rose, my newest niece." He stretched across the desk, holding his phone out to show me a picture on the screen of an adorable newborn in a pink knitted hat and swaddled in a blanket.

"She's precious." I smiled, then wagged my finger at him again. "And you’d better make sure your attorneys put in the agreement that I'm not entitled to one penny of your money when we eventually divorce. And if, God forbid, anything should happen to you, I want it noted that the estate goes to your rightful heirs, not me as your legal spouse." I felt silly, making such a big deal out of the money—but I wanted to make it clear that I had no designs on his bank account.

Austin merely lifted a brow as he put his phone back down. "While I'm at it, shall I have them list everything else we discussed? Am I supposed to kick you out on your ass at some point if you forget to dust or don't help with cooking?" He slid his glasses back on as he continued to tease. "And maybe I should also have them include an ironclad clause about sex not being on the table? I mean, if I'm to be protected, it should probably also be clear in black and white that you're not allowed to ask for sex, right? After all, I wouldn’t want to be taken advantage of in my sleep or something."

"You're impossible." I giggled. "I feel like you're trying to get me to tell you to just forget the whole prenup idea by shocking me with that sex clause." Dropping my legs, I scooted to the edge of the chair and leaned forward. "But see, here's what you don't know about me. I like a challenge, and I don't get embarrassed that easily. In fact, you can just go ahead and put your sex clause in. I'll still sign the document with a flourish."

You’re a dirty liar, Josh’s voice taunted in my head. You’re going to blush like a chimney on fire if you have to sign something with a sex clause.

"I'm almost tempted to, just to see the look on my stuffy-assed attorney's face," Austin said with a chuckle. He picked up his phone and scrolled through his contacts while he muttered under his breath, still chuckling. "Sex clause. I've got your sex clause—hanging."
I leaned back in my chair and examined my fingernails with a detached expression on my face. "Sorry, but in my experience, that hanging thing you're referring to is probably more along the lines of a dangling participle, if you feel the need to brag."

Early New Release! HIS SURROGATE OMEGA: An MPREG Omegaverse Book

Omega Gray Tomlinson is positive he’ll remain unmated for the rest of his life. By his mid-thirties, he remains unclaimed and without prospects, and lives confined to the Omega Quadrant, where he’s sure he’ll end up dying alone.

When his older brother, Silver, and Silver’s alpha die in a tragic accident, Gray’s nephews come to live in his little sequestered world. Without an alpha, he knows he has little means to help support the boys. The only choice he can stomach is to offer his services as a surrogate.

The minute Gray meets Jamie, the infertile omega who so desperately wants a child, he senses a bond like none he’s ever felt before. It’s brotherly love at first sight, and Gray decides Jamie is the one, agreeing to carry his and his alpha, Rohan’s, child.

But when circumstances change, Gray is faced with new challenges, a new love interest, and a battle for the very life that grew inside him. And maybe there’s an alpha out there for him after all…

His gaze fell on Jamie’s bright smile. “You’re here!”

Jamie rushed over and spun Gray to face the man he was there to meet.

As soon as he set sight on Rohan, the air rushed from his lungs. The man was stunning… perfectly made in every way. Big and muscled as any alpha, he wore an expensive looking tailored suit that showed wide shoulders and a narrow waist. The alpha’s scent hit Gray… and he paused to inhale a little of it. Lust washed over him, his body rocked by need. He’d just gone through his heat the week before, so he didn’t understand the sensations running through him.

Some of Gray’s cream slickened his ass. Mortification filled him. There was also no missing the sudden clench to Rohan’s jaw.

The alpha had to scent him…

Dark eyes met his before that stare swept completely over him. Gray saw lust there in that gaze and had to remind himself it was all an instinctual reaction. An alpha scenting an available omega—that’s all it was.

And in that moment, he wished he’d injected some of Avery’s scent blocker. He hadn’t even thought about it… but then, why would he? He had little experience with alphas. His father, and a few friends who’d come over every so often when he was young—but once he’d gone into heat that first time, he’d been sequestered away. Even though Rohan had an omega all his own, it wouldn’t completely subdue the animal instinct within Rohan. Jamie and Tensen couldn’t scent him… only the alpha in the room would know.

Gray couldn’t look away from the alpha’s dark, fierce stare. His body shook with need…

And the desire to bow down then and there to be taken. He snagged his gaze away, shame filling him.

Jamie babbled on, seeming oblivious to what was happening. “I couldn’t wait for you two to meet… it feels like such a long time coming. So, without further ado—Rohan, this is Gray. Gray, my alpha, Rohan.”

He lifted his stare to Rohan’s once more. The alpha’s gaze was locked on him. Gray felt his skin tingling… butterflies spinning in his gut…

All for a man he couldn’t have…

A man he might carry a child for.

Gray clenched his own jaw thinking of his womb filled with Rohan’s child.

His womb clenched, too.
