To Hell and Back

Hell hath no fury like a Gideon scorned.

Gideon Goode is clever as the devil and twice as pretty. He even has the t-shirt to prove it. When the coven takes down a den of demons, it’s him they turn to in order to clean up the mess. While they search for a permanent solution, Gideon uses his power over memory to trap the beasts, caging them within the very humans they possessed.

But the search for the right spell eludes the coven, much to Gideon’s chagrin. The continuous enchantments siphon off his magic, causing him to grow weaker as time passes. Sexual healing helps, but he’s mateless and there’s only so much random d*ck he can take before that gets old. Not that he’d admit that to anyone. He has a rep to maintain.

The instant someone starts killing off his prisoners, Gideon senses it. The coven goes on high alert to search for who’s targeting their otherwordly captives, but not before Lucifer gets involved—and—Gideon’s mates show up in town.

What’s a boy to do but to go to Hell and back to protect what’s his?

Unwitting Mate by Kelex -- Pre-order Now!

Unwitting Mate
Valleywood, 17
by Kelex

Valleywood is a multi-author collection. Each novel is a standalone story and they can be read in ANY order...

Holden Jacobs is tired of being passed over for almost every role he’s ever auditioned for. After a decade in Valleywood, he has little to show for it besides a bunch of bit parts and commercials on his resume. All the good, meaty roles he wants seem to go to alphas. He’s not sure he has what it takes until one evening at Forbidden Underground changes everything.

Five-foot-nothing Fenn Perry flounces into Forbidden Underground in his pink tee, black tutu, and even blacker silk stockings and spies the beta of his dreams. When he has to make the first move, he knows he needs to make it count—and he’s very ready for the challenge. Who knew this bottom had it in him to play top?

Their bathroom hookup goes into overtime and they end up at Fenn’s place after. As morning dawns, an unexpected change will rock both their worlds… in ways neither could have imagined.

Trigger Warning: Off-page assault of secondary character, Violence

Catch an alpha, he does—much to his chagrin. Neither McCoy or Jackson are ready to take on a relationship yet can’t seem to fight the magnetic pull of the other.

Pre-order: Theirs by Bond (Bear Mountain, 1.5)

(Pre-order links at bottom of page)

Starting back in March, I started re-reading the Bear Mountain books one by one, one per week. As I shared in the "Hating on Tyler McCreary" post, I've been meeting with readers on Tuesday nights in my Facebook group to share insights, trash talk mistakes, answer questions, and basically just have a fun hour of talking shit...

We just finished reading book 15 this past Tuesday... so we're already past the 3/4 mark. (We've decided to do Project Zed books, too, as we've had so much fun. We might do other books after that.)

Along the way, I've noted any typos and have been slowly working to clean up and fix them before re-releasing.

I've also had moments where I could kick myself in the ass... "why didn't I..." do this or that. Or characters have whispered in my ear as I re-read, telling me a little more about themselves, more than they told me the first time around.

Honestly, I've also had a few awesome, out of left field questions from points of view that aren't mine. My readers are amazing and point out things I couldn't see from my own point of view.

A couple of ladies in particular ask me tough questions and keep me on my toes! They know who they are.

So I had all these new scenes and ideas swirling in my mind as I re-read...

And then I realized... I can do something about this.

I can write them.

Bound by Two Bears wasn't supposed to be a 20+ book series with two spin-offs. I had been working on a book that just wasn't coming together. I was frustrated. I decided to take a break from that story and write something else. Just as I was toying with the idea of writing some bear shifters, a reader asked me why I hadn't wrote any menage stories in a while—she wanted some moresomes, dammit!

BOOM. Bound to Two Bears came into my mind.

It was supposed to be a quick, insta-love story—heavy on the sex. I wanted something fun and fluffy to get my mind off of the book that was driving me nuts.

And then Bear Mountain became what it did, and I've regretted not giving that story a bit more world building. It also makes me sad many people didn't like Royce...

I have the power to fix that. It just took me a while to realize I had that power.

So Theirs by Bond was born.

In the epilogue to Bound to Two Bears, we see Carson big and preggers, nearly ready to pop.

What happened between the end of the last chapter and the epilogue?

Theirs by Bond will give you a little insight into this time period... when things were still new and Carson, Jared, and Royce were still figuring things out and getting comfortable.

And a little uncomfortable... as they were trying to turn that lust into love.

* * * *

Before the Book One Epilogue... get a peek into Carson, Royce, and Jared's early relationship...

Without much thought, Carson gave up his life in the human world to move to Bear Mountain and live with his mates, Jared and Royce. The bond he experienced with his two bears had felt so powerful, that he’d plunged in headfirst, ready for a new adventure.

As time has worn on, the potent insta-lust they felt in those first days fades some and the weight of a new, burgeoning romance falls on their shoulders. Adding in a new wrinkle, doubts form that threaten their chance at forever.

They all soon discover that a relationship demands work on all sides. It will take commitment to propel them from the lust of their animal mating to the love they all sensed was possible from the start.

Unless secrets tear them apart first.

Lisa Oliver Pre-Order

I'll be sharing more on this title in a guest spotlight to come -- but a new spin-off of the Cloverleaf Pack Series is about to get underway and the pre-order is NOW AVAILABLE.

Lisa will be a guest on one of my Sunday Spotlights very soon, so more details will be coming!

The Gods Made Me Do It #1

(Spin off series from the Cloverleah Pack. Can be read as a standalone, but readers of the Cloverleah Pack series will recognize some of the secondary characters).

Madison Worthington has worked hard to get to where he is. Thrown out of his pack at a young age, he finds his home in the San Antonio pack, eventually talking himself into a job as Damien's PA. He doesn't get the respect he'd hoped for, but he holds his head high as he works behind the scenes keeping Damien's club and pack running smoothly. At night he dreams of a mate who will hold him in strong arms and love him just the way he is. Unfortunately, the Fates appear to have other plans.

Sebastian D'Eath, son of Thanatos the Angel of Death, has always known that the Fates would throw a mate in his path. He just didn't realize he had to dive into flood waters to stop the man from drowning. But no matter how cute his mate might look as a drowned rat, Sebastian has his arguments ready. He doesn't want a mate; won't take a mate and no one can make him. However, he soon finds out the Fates have other plans for him, too.

Angry words lead to Madison being captured by a wolf with a sick mind. Salvation comes from an unlikely quarter, but Madison returns to the pack with a change of heart. He has some scores to settle and Sebastian is first in the firing line. Hellhounds, dinners and a red convertible - will Sebastian ever get the man he claimed he didn't want?

This story is roughly 50,000 words, but the book includes a bonus short story about Thanatos and Cody.

Warning: Contains two sexy men, intimate situations and coarse language. Also watch out for a sexy twink with an attitude that won't stop, a demigod who seriously needs to grow up and hellhounds that appear without warning.

Weeks on a train had an ill effect on Jameson’s body. Between the horrid food and the constant noise, he was happy to finally see his trip come to an end. He rose from his seat and stretched his fatigued limbs as the car he’d been imprisoned in slowed to a stop. The British East India Company had built this rail line to export their Indian goods back to the United Kingdom, not to transport passengers—although, from what Jameson had been reading, they had been bringing a number of troops to the savage land to quell the numerous uprisings of late.

The bellman assigned to him for the trip opened the door at the front of the car. Stewart, while unused to serving gentlemen, had been quite adept at his job. Jameson knew he would not have handled the journey as well had it not been for the man.

“My lord, I have been told there will be a gentleman awaiting you at the station to show you to your father,” Stewart said. “I will have one of our men take your baggage to his manor.”

Jameson clasped Stewart on the shoulder. “I thank you for your continued assistance. My journey would’ve been arduous without it.” Stewart smiled and bent slightly at the waist before urging him forward. Jameson followed the man outside the car and stepped down onto solid ground for the first time in far too long. His calves shook… his whole body did. The vibrations of the train still moved through his body with each step he took.

“Lord Jameson Ravensworth?”

Jameson turned at the sound of his name, spoken with thickly accented English. A tall, dark-brown-skinned man eyed him with curious golden eyes. He wore a tunic embroidered with a thread almost the same color as those eyes—as well as a turban of a similar shade. It was a stark reminder Jameson was no longer in England. There would likely be more interesting sights to behold along this voyage. A smile came to his lips at the thought of it all. “I am he.”

“Follow me,” the man said, turning.

Jameson watched as the man quickly turned tail and left him. Thanks to a long and even gait, Jameson was quickly left behind. He placed his top hat on before trailing to catch the man. After walking through a gated door and out onto the street, he felt a stabbing pain to the back of his head…
Just before darkness captured him.

****

Jameson awoke, his head throbbing painfully. He opened his eyes to the barest of light and it still hurt unbearably. After a few minutes, he realized he was lying on a collection of silk pillows that seemed to fill the floor about him. More silk hung from the rafters and drifted down, billowing in the evening breeze. At least, he thought it was evening from the pale light filtering in through those drapes.

“Jameson Ravensworth.”

Jameson turned his head too quickly. Pain radiated from the base of his skull, making him clench his teeth. When he was finally able to focus on who had called his name, he saw the same man from the train yard.

“What have you done to me? Where am I?”

“Your questions will be answered soon enough,” the man said. “Follow me.”

Jameson frowned. “The last time I did that, it did not go well.”

The man spun to face Jameson. “You have questions, I have answers—but you must come.”

Jameson sat there a moment, trying to consider his alternatives. He had no idea where he was, or of a means of escape from the room. Information was needed, so it was best he opened his eyes and ears and followed the man. He rose, his head swimming as he reached full height. “Lead the way.”

PRE-ORDER: BETWEEN HIM AND A HARD PLACE

They survived catastrophe, but can they live on together?

Archer did things he didn’t know he was capable of doing to survive the zombie virus that brought down the world. When his traveling companion is murdered by dead ones, he knows his time has come. Seconds before he’s slaughtered, a combat vehicle crashes through the scene and a masked man saves the day—a man he feels inexplicably drawn to.

Only the man isn’t a man, but a vampire.

Syn is a tracker, sent out to find and protect the last of the humans and the precious blood in their veins. Archer isn’t like the others he’s found. He feels tied to the human in a way he can’t explain. The two come together explosively, both fighting the intense emotion they feel before running to escape their burning lust.

Can they find a way back to one another?

Archer heard an engine rev out of nowhere, and a huge vehicle ran through the crowd of dead ones, mowing them down with ease. The passenger door was flung open before him. A masked man stared at him, hiding who his potential savior was. Or if he could trust whomever was behind it.

“Get in!” a tinny voice cried out.

Without much more consideration, as the inside of that truck was better than the death surrounding him, he jumped in. The man stepped on the gas before Archer could barely even attempt to slam the door closed, not that he could’ve had he wanted to.

“Get the door shut and fast!”

“I’m trying,” Archer screamed, stabbing his hunting knife into the head of a dead one clinging to the door. As soon as he kicked that one off, he jammed his knife into another, slamming the door on another set of decaying fingers and slicing them off. They fell in his lap, still wiggling.

A dozen dead ones hung on to the hood of the truck, which was being spun from side to side, trying to fling the creatures off. Archer reached for a non-existent seatbelt and then held on for dear life.
“Hold on to the wheel,” the guy screamed, rolling down his window.

The driver lifted a pistol as Archer grabbed the huge wheel and leaned out. One by one, he got the dead ones between the eyes, and they fell under the moving vehicle. Bouncing as they rumbled over the bodies, Archer tried to keep the thing on the road. He wasn’t even sure what it was. It was something between a truck and a tank, with an Army vibe. The tech surrounding the wheel was anything but Army-issued, though. Whatever it was, he’d never seen anything like it, and was more than happy to have seen it when he did.

Finally, the driver dropped back into his seat, the dead ones gone from the hood. Just as he began to roll up his window, a hand reached in. Lightning quick, the guy sliced the hand off with a scary-looking blade, then proceeded to roll his window up.

Archer leaned back into his seat and stared at the road ahead, stunned as hell he’d made it out alive. His heart continued to thump hard in his chest as he stared at the masked driver.

“Syn,” the guy said with that robotic-sounding voice. He held out his gloved hand.

Archer really took in the guy’s appearance for the first time. He wore some weird gas mask-like thing with goggles. Here it was, the middle of the summer, and he was covered from head to toe in black leather, from his neck to his gloved fingers and shitkickers.

“Syn’s short for Synclair,” the guy said again, still offering his hand. “As in my name. You’ve got one, right?”

“Archer,” he answered, finally taking the extended hand. “I can’t thank you enough,” he added as he shook it.

“No problem. I’ve been following you for weeks,” the masked man said, returning his hand to the wheel and looking ahead. “I’ve been just a day or so behind you for the last week. Good thing I caught up when I did.”

Archer frowned, his hackles rising. “Why were you following me?”

“I find humans to take to the Southern Citadel.”

The Southern Citadel? “Wait, what?”

“You haven’t heard of the Citadels?” he asked, glancing over at Archer.

Archer shook his head.

“There are three human cities. They’re walled and protected and already teeming with people. It’s my job to help find the last of the humans to take there so some sort of civilization can start again.”

Human cities? Walled and protected? It sounded too good to be true. And he’d learned anything that sounded too good to be true likely was. Even with his doubt, only one question truly came to mind. “You guys got food and water there?”

The masked man chuckled. “All you could ever want.”

“Then what are we waiting on?” Archer knew he might be walking into a trap, but the promise of hot food and a hot shower was too good to ignore. He was running on empty. He needed to regroup.

He glanced at the man driving, again wondering about the weird get-up, but weird was now the norm in their fucked up world.
