This is my passion project. I organized this anthology and I'm in awe of all the authors who agreed to join in for the cause.

Updates Upon Updates Upon Updates

I've really not been great at updating my website, have I? Between my new Patreon, twenty-gazillion social media sites, newsletters, actual writing time, and the world turning into a dumpster fire, the website has fallen on hard times. 

Poor website.

So, it appears the last book update I posted was in AUGUST, so here's a quick catch-up since then.

1. His Forsaken Alpha (Omega Quadrant, 3) was released in early September

2. Tentacle on 34th Street (Tinsel and Tentacles 2.0) was released in early November. This one was super fun to write. Aliens, tentacles and Mpreg/EggPreg

(Tinsel and Tentacles is a multi-author holiday collection - this story is a standalone, so you can read all or those you wish)

3. Appetite for an Alpha (Omega Quadrant, 4) arrives this Friday, January 31st - it's available for preorder now

(This was originally supposed to be Book 3.5, but the novella turned into a whole ass novel of its own, so it got a bump! Tulla's story will now be Book 5)

4. Knotting Hearts is an omegaverse charity anthology that I'm organizing. It arrives February 28th and is also available for preorder now. My story, Castaway Heat, will be included, as well.

5. I just loaded another preorder for Echo and the Homicidal Sea Panda that should go live any second now. That one arrives April 28th. It's in another multi-author collection - Heat Prey Love

6. Next up on the writing agenda was SUPPOSED to be the next Alphas of the Western Provinces book (Emerson), but if you look above, you see FIVE OMEGAVERSES straight. Well, four and an Mpreg alien book.

Look, I love omegaverse, probably more than most, but even I need a break every once in a while. A palate cleanser, so to speak. I don't want to write Emerson's story if I'm feeling a little burnt out on omegaverse stories. 

I've got plenty on my to-be-written list and more being added every day, so no worries there. The main issue will be deciding which one.

I've had some personal health stuff going on since October and it's been a journey. Almost back to right, but it's hard to heal right now. I'm trying to keep busy and ignore the news that I don't have the spoons healthwise to deal with at the moment. I don't like living in fear of my safety.

That about sums it up for now. 

Hopefully I'll still be around for another update in the future. Only time will tell.

Nouvelles traductions en français (New French Translations)

Mon correcteur français a rattrapé son retard sur les traductions de Manhon et j'en ai reçu TROIS dans ma boîte de réception avant-hier soir. J'ai passé la journée d'hier à les formater et à les préparer pour la publication... et j'ai choisi d'étaler un peu l'amour pour leur donner le temps de travailler sur la suite.

Une panthère entre deux ours (Bear Mountain, 19) est disponible dès maintenant... et le tome 20 arrivera au début du mois d'octobre (et le volume imprimé comprenant les livres 19 et 20 devrait sortir le même jour !)

Puis, début décembre, le deuxième Projet Zed (un spin-off de Bear Mountain) arrivera.

J'ai également un nouveau traducteur, qui travaille à la traduction des autres livres des Contes de papa. Lily va les relire pour moi afin de s'assurer qu'ils sont de bonne qualité et elle doit également travailler sur Alphas of the Western Provinces, 3. Manhon commence à travailler sur le prochain livre de l'univers Bear Mountain/Zed en octobre. Je pense que c'est un livre de Zed, si ma mémoire fonctionne correctement.

But there are a few questions I've had that didn't fit into those guidelines above. Here are a few random questions I've been asked on more than one occasion.

Q: Did you really name a character James Jaymes on purpose?

A: Fuck yeah, I did. His Surrogate Omega was a really dark book. It needed little sprinkles of levity here and there not only for me, but for the readers. A few hawk-eyed folks caught them.

When you met Jamie, he was mated to Rohan Parker, and was Jamie Parker for all you knew. But since his brother was Wilder Jaymes... and if you put two and two together, you noticed. 

I've since come up with the reason WHY he was named that (threaded it into the storyline after the fact) in book 3, but IDK if it will be mentioned in there yet. We shall see.

Q: Will there be more Omega Quadrant books?

A: Well, yeah. I'm almost done with 3 AND 3.5 as I type this up, and both will be coming this fall. Hopefully late August/early September for 3 and soon thereafter for 3.5 (eying Novemberish)

I currently have plans for books 4 and 5, and potentially 6. Will there be more than that? Maybe. It depends on the side characters I introduce in those books and if they start screaming in my head.

Q: Will there be other series within the Palatinate?

A: YES. I have ideas for at least two more provinces on the map I shared in the last FAQ.

August 2024 Writing Update

Greetings y'all! 

Happy August.

This summer has been an eventful one, word-wise, though not all that eventful outdoors as I'm in writing troll mode. It's too damned hot out for this asthma sufferer here in the heat and humidity of Hampton Roads, Virginia.

I need a summer place somewhere cool in the UK or Scandinavia. If only...

Here's what's in the works...

1. Someone from the top two tiers of my Patreon is chosen to "direct" a scene with any of my existing characters every other month. It can be anything, and the first guest director gave me such a cute idea for the Enchanted Ink world that one scene turned into a short novella. 

Now that it's been available to my subscribers for a few weeks, I've decided to make it available to the public. My editor has it now and it will soon arrive as an ebook.

2. I'm nearly done writing His Forsaken Alpha (Omega Quadrant, 3) AND a concurrent novella (Omega Quadrant, 3.5). Both will be arriving this fall. I hope to release OQ 3 by late August/early September and then OQ 3.5 sometime thereafter, eyeing October/November.

3. I've started early work on my Tinsel & Tentacles 2.0 book—Tentacle on 34th Street. So far, I've got it outlined and a few scenes written. This one won't be long (hopefully.) I hope to have it completed by early September.

4. I'll be leaving for the Rainbow Reader's Cruise to Key West and the Bahamas on August 17th and returning by the following weekend. This is my last signing for 2024.

5. The co-writing adventure for April Andrews and I has hit a snag. She works FT and there's been a catastrophe there, so we're pausing our project until things calm down for her there.

6. After my Christmas story for T&T 2.0 is complete, I have a short 2025 charity novella to write that's due early December. It's already begun... a total pantser with no outline. EEK!

7. Speaking of charity, I have my two novellas I wrote for charity anthologies in 2024 that I need to release. Look for them to be coming soon.

7. After that I'll be moving on to Alphas of the Western Provinces, 4. I'm aiming for a Feb 2025 release date for that if all works smoothly, though we know it never does.

8. More mini-fics and fun stuff for Patreon is planned.

9. After that? IDK... more Enchanted Ink? More omegaverse? I've got a long list of SIXTY SIX books to be written, so I've got plenty for my muse to choose from.

NEW RELEASE - Squirrelified (An Enchanted Ink Story)

I know you're anxiously awaiting His Forsaken Alpha—and I promise it's getting closer to being done—but in the meantime, here's a fun little short novella I wrote for a Patreon subscriber last month.

Squirrelified is a day-in-the-life of Colby, Ash, and Luca from Only Skin Deep (Enchanted Ink, 1). It's a cute, funny little romp around Salem, with some sweet and a dash of heat. 

It was supposed to be ONE scene, but the idea my patron, Quinn, suggested was super cute and it just kind of snowballed into 16,000 words. At that length, I figured I'd pop it out for anyone who wanted another peek into the Enchanted Ink world.

On the drive home from Boston, Colby and Daniel note an odd-acting squirrel on the outskirts of town and stop to snag him, only Ash isn’t being very cooperative. 

Before Luca can arrive and break the spell, Ash bolts, with Colby giving chase. Can they find their mate before he disappears into the trees forever?

This 16,000 word short novella originally appeared on Kelex's Patreon, written for a patron. It's a funny, sweet, and sexy sneak peek at a day in the life of Colby, Ash, and Colby. It can be read at any point after book one in the series, Only Skin Deep.

PALATINATE OMEGAVERSE FAQ - A 2024 Update & New Map

[After I updated the Palatinate's map, I wrote this post a few months back for my Patreon subscribers and shared both with them.]

I made the old map more for myself than anything—so I could remember where everything was and not contradict myself. I went ahead and added it to the later books so you guys could see, too. But it was really sad and basic, so I've given it a new upgrade—and added a new province! You're seeing it here FIRST... and it will appear inside the next omegaverse book that comes.
Here's a little additional info:


The Omega Quadrant occurs in the province of Alexandria (and we will soon see a bit of Blacksburg, too, in book 3.)

The Western Province series occurs mainly in Fort Seattle but has mentioned Port Sacramenti often, and will potentially go there again.

Some of you eagle eyed folks might have already noticed the new province marked on this map — Omegawood.

I made the choice to leave the Valleywood series because I wanted to rebrand and make these books a series all their own. The creators of Valleywood requested I move this series into one of my existing omegaverse series to protect their creation and the authors still there -- which is totally understandable.

So, the Valleywood books have been rebranded into a new Palatinate spin-off, becoming Omegawood.

I had to make A LOT of changes to the first two Valleywood books (and there will be a third!) to fit them into a new universe. While doing so, I realized there were some other questions about the Palatinate that might come up that I'd never answered previously.

The provinces shown on the map are not the only provinces. They are the largest and make up much of the population of the continent. Each of these are super-provinces with populations ranging from 500,000 to over a million residents. There are many smaller provinces dotting the landscape. "Rural" provinces is what they're often referred to. Many of these are devoted to trades, farming, and raising livestock —selling/trading to the surrounding larger provinces.

No Man's Land isn't devoid of life. 

Those inside the walls live in fear of the "Wildings" but most of the stories they've been told are from a bygone era where No Man's Land was a wild, wooly place. Not that it's exactly tame either, though.

There are alpha warlords/chieftains who rule over feudal districts in No Man's Land. Many have smaller, walled fort cities filled with dozens to thousands of residents. Each district is its own independent city-state. Neighbors fight over borders and wars amongst chieftains can happen. Some of these warlords run their cities/districts much like the provinces, and as such they can be progressive/democratic ranging toward autocracy with chieftains acting as tyrannical dictators (more often than not, they're the latter in NML) Omegas have fewer rights in NML and quite a few end up in a warlord's harem. If you thought the Omega Quadrant was bad, NML can be worse. In most of these districts, alphas are more alpha-y, and omegas are breeding chattel and expected to be subservient.

Just outside many of the provinces, there are miles of province-controlled farmland. They have a lot of mouths to feed inside the walls and it can't all come from the smaller provinces nearby. Small villages exist just outside the walls, filled with the farmers/farm hands who tend the land, and their families. Some exiles end up remaining in these villages or move deeper into NML.

"Safe zones" also exist outside many of the larger provinces, sometimes extending past any farmland, if there is any. This is considered "neutral territory". Many provincial governments made treaties with local chieftains to stay out of the safe zone, with the promise the provincial governments would, as well. There are some villages and towns that have sprung up in these supposed "safe zones" -- but don't let the name fool you. These places are not very safe. Think the Wild West.

The Enchanted Ink Books are Leaving Kindle Unlimited

Update June 2024

The summer will soon officially begin and we're knee-deep in PRIDE this month—I figured I might as well sneak in an update before I'm off to enjoy the outdoors (I lie... I'm probably gonna be writing my ass off indoors!)

I'm keeping this as short and sweet as I can...

1. Gideon's book arrives 21 June - To Hell and Back was a fun ride and I am SOOOOOOO proud of how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it and the world of Enchanted Ink. Just out the link on the right of your screen for the link.

2. One Wild Omega arrives on Audible and Amazon Audiobook as soon as ACX approves it. Sadly, there's no way to determine an ETA. They've approved audiobooks as fast as 6-7 days and as long as 3 weeks. This one is narrated by Michael Dean, by the way (and he's going to be working on Three Alarm Heat later this year.)

3. I'm pounding the keys on Omega Quadrant #3. At this stage, I'm nearing the midway point. And there's a bit of a change. I HAD planned to write Tulla's story but I've switched gears because someone else was screaming to have his story told. No worries, Tulla is still coming... he's moving to book four or five. 

4. While I'm writing OQ #3, I've been working a bit on a new co-writing project with April Andrews.

5. Next up for me is a Christmas story I need to finish sooooon. It will be arriving later this year.

6. I contributed two novellas to charity projects this year. Those anthologies will be coming down in June and July... and both of the novellas will be available as individual e-books soon thereafter.

7. I have a few more books that I want to get to before the end of the year, just not sure if I can manage them all. The ones yelling the most in the back of my mind is Omegawood #3, Mermen #2, and Alphas of the Western Province #4... and I haven't given up on the Bishop's Bay series, either (plus I'll be starting work on the next Enchanted Ink book, too.) 

Send good thoughts that I get a ton of work done this second half of the year! I've got a lot I want to get done.
