NEW RELEASE: His Wolven Warrior, Bloodlines 3

Born a mixed blood amongst the strict Hokkaido, Takeo has always been seen as an outcast. The shadow warrior has remained on the fringes, called on from time to time to do the jobs no one else would do. When he’s commanded to New York City to steal a token item from an Eastern Gray Wolf, he begrudgingly goes as bidden.

Once he arrives, he’s tempted by his mark’s twin brother. Losing focus, he’s almost caught somewhere he does not belong and hides—leading him to unwittingly play voyeur. Unable to get the male out of his mind after, he struggles with the desire beating in his heart.

Tanner McManus has a fresh face in his bed nearly every night. When he meets a sexy, mysterious male who nearly demands to be taken to that bed, Tanner willingly obliges—and has a night neither can forget. For once Tanner wants more than one night, and it ends up being with someone he shouldn’t want.

When Tanner is charged with murder—it’s up to Takeo to prove Tanner is innocent. That is, if Tanner’s willing to look past who Takeo is long enough to help him find the truth.

And maybe find themselves with each other.

“Have a drink with me,” the human cooed.
Tanner lifted his glass. “I have a drink.”
“I don’t,” the human said seductively, rubbing his body against Tanner’s as he pressed his tongue inside Tanner’s ear.
This was one of the problems with one-night stands. They occasionally came back and got in the way of things. Tonight was not the night for that.
“The bar is right over there,” Tanner answered, wiping the man’s saliva from his ear. “Go grab yourself something to drink if you’re thirsty.”
Lust filled the human’s face. “I’m incredibly thirsty.”
“I’m not,” Tanner said, pinning the man with a glance.
A hint of understanding crossed the human’s face, but then it was gone and a lusty smile returned to his lips.
“I’ll go get myself that drink.”
Tanner watched the man leave before moving to his table. He didn’t want to be in the same spot if the human made another attempt. Tanner searched the club, his strong eyesight still not picking up the man he was looking for. It didn’t take long for the human he’d been avoiding to find Tanner and slip into the half-booth.
“There you are,” the human said, grinning. The man rubbed the side of his body against Tanner’s. “So where were we?”
“You’re in my seat.”
Tanner glanced up and saw his friend from downstairs leaning over the edge of the table, glaring at the man beside him. A smile played over Tanner’s lips as the man beside him stiffened.
“Excuse me?” the human said indignantly.
“You’re. In. My. Seat.”
The man beside him turned to Tanner.
“You’re in his seat,” Tanner parroted, slightly amused.
The human slid out, anger crossing his face. “Asshole.”
Tanner’s new companion slid into the newly vacant spot and glared up at the man. “Goodnight.” He turned to Tanner, one eyebrow lifted, as if Tanner should feel ashamed for having another at his table. A chuckle rumbled through him at the hint of jealousy coming from the man.
“Hello,” Tanner purred against the man’s ear. He drew in a breath… and froze.
The man had no scent.
That was impossible. A frown crossed Tanner’s face. He drew in another breath as he brushed his lips along the man’s neck.
Nothing.
Red flags went up, yet it didn’t stop his intrigue. If anything, it only made Tanner all the more curious. Curious, but cautious, too. The man was hot as hell, and Tanner couldn’t pull away.
Yet it wouldn’t stop him from reacting if and when the time came.
“What’s your name?” Tanner asked against the man’s ear.
“Tak-e-o,” the man said, stretching out the syllables, his warm voice spreading across Tanner’s body like the bourbon he’d been nursing.

Kaname came into the bathroom a few minutes later with a beer in his hand. He set it on the counter and began stripping right away. Seto watched him silently, admiring his body. Kaname looked perfect in a suit, and all of Seto’s female authors practically swooned over him at company events. Kaname looked like he belonged in a boys’ love manga, his legs long and lean while his torso was trim and muscular. Seto had felt inadequate the first time Kaname saw him naked, but the older man had never seemed displeased by Seto’s smaller and less muscular body.

When Kaname turned around to grab his beer, Seto saw he was already hard. He walked over to the tub and waited for Seto to make room for him. Seto moved forward so Kaname could get in behind him, taking the beer from him and setting it safely on one of the shelves on the other side. Given his state of arousal, Seto had assumed Kaname would become amorous right away, but the older man simply pulled him close and held him. His cock pressed against Seto’s ass, but all Kaname did was kiss the top of Seto’s head.

“Long day?” Seto asked after a few minutes.

“I wish every editor was like you,” Kaname said, his fingers sliding over Seto’s stomach.

“Really? I’m not sure I want any of the other editors to become obsessed with your cock.”

Kaname chuckled. “And I’d turn them all down. My cock is yours, and you know it.” He kissed Seto’s neck. “You know what I mean. You care about the quality of your work, and you meet your deadlines. You motivate your authors. You’re perfect for your job. So many enter publishing because they think it will be fun or because they enjoy reading. It’s tiresome having to constantly hound them and tell them how important the deadlines are.”

Seto leaned back into Kaname and turned his head to look up at him as best he could. “Perhaps you could have another seminar for the less experienced editors.”

“The last one didn’t work that well. I doubt I could convince the chief director to invest the money or let the editors take part of a day off just for something like that. He was reluctant enough the first time, and he’s mentioned how displeased he’s been since. We’re just going to have to do more mentoring.” Kaname’s hand moved much lower, and his fingers massaged Seto’s balls. “Right now, all I want is to touch you.”

Bear Mountain is GROWING Again...

Twelve won't be the last book... there will be at least fourteen books in this series.

And with the AT LEAST... yes, there *might* be more.

I won't commit to anything past book 14 -- for now.

If it's organic and feels right, I write it.  I don't want this series to ever get stale.

Why Do All Old Statues Have Such Small Penises? (Reblog)

I read this interesting article on an Art History blog and thought I'd reblog and share since it was educational AND penis-related  :)  You can read the original HERE

Reader question: “Why do all old statues have such small penises?”
The reader who sent me this felt that it was a question that was maybe too silly for my blog, but – firstly – there are no questions too silly for this blog, and – secondly – the answer to this question is actually pretty interesting.
By “old statues”, I assume that we’re talking about ancient Greek and Roman statues. We’ll focus ancient Greek statues, as they heavily influenced all other small-penised European sculptures.

There are two main reasons why ancient Greek statues have small penises:
Firstly, they’re flaccid. If you compare their size to most flaccid male penises, they are actually not significantly smaller than real-life penises tend to be.
Secondly, cultural values about male beauty were completely different back then. Today, big penises are seen as valuable and manly, but back then, most evidence points to the fact that small penises were considered better than big ones.

One of the reasons historians, such as Kenneth Dover in his landmark book Greek Homosexuality, have suggested that small penises were more culturally valued is that large penises were associated with very specific characteristics: foolishness, lust and ugliness. There are actually quite a few ancient Greek sculptures that have enormous penises. Here’s one:

Here’s another:

The first sculpture is of a satyr, and the second is of the Greek god Priapus. Satyrs were mythological creatures that were followers of Dionysus, the god of pleasure and wine. Priapus was a Greek fertility god cursed with a permanent erection, impotence, ugliness and foul-mindedness by Hera. Priapus was actually so despised by the other gods that he was thrown off Mount Olympus.
All representations of large penises in ancient Greek art and literature are associated with foolish, lustful men, or the animal-like satyrs. Meanwhile, the ideal Greek man was rational, intellectual and authoritative. He may still have had a lot of sex, but this was unrelated to his penis size, and his small penis allowed him to remain coolly logical.

I read
The Greek playwright Aristophanes summarises this attitude in one of his plays,Clouds, where he writes:
“If you do these things I tell you, and bend your efforts to them, you will always have a shining breast, a bright skin, big shoulders, a minute tongue, a big rump and a small prick. But if you follow the practices of today, for a start you’ll have a pale skin, small shoulders, a skinny chest, a big tongue, a small rump, a big prick and a long-winded decree.” (Lines 1010 – 1019, emphasis mine)
Ancient Greek sculptures are all about balance and idealism. Therefore, it makes sense that they wouldn’t have large penises, as this would be considered humorous or grotesque.
The ancient Romans might have been more positive towards large penises, but their sculptures continue the trend of small penises. Later, in Renaissance art, sculptors were very specifically influenced by ancient Greek art and their small penis size.
A famous example of a small penis is Michelangelo’s David (1501 – 04), a Renaissance sculpture from Florence, Italy. There’s an interesting theory for why David’s penis is so small, apart from the Greek influence. In 2005, two Florentine doctors published a paper arguing that David’s penis was shriveled by fear. When viewed from the front, David’s face actually looks frightened and concerned, because of his impending fight with the giant Goliath. The doctors argue that Michelangelo sculpted every detail in David’s body to be consistent with symptoms of fear and tension – including his genitals.

Classical Greek sculpture has been hugely influential for all sculptural representations of the male body in European art, so it’s no wonder that small-penised statues have been the norm throughout most of Western art history. It also shows that our obsession with penis size has always been there, it’s just changed slightly.
